With our win tonight in LA, we're going to finish somewhere between second and fifth.

Current Standings:

2. Denver 53-27

3. Houston 52-28

4. Portland 52-28

5. San Antonio 51-28

Sunday:

San Antonio @ Sacramento

Monday:

San Antonio @ Golden State

Oklahoma City @ Portland

Sacramento @ Denver

New Orleans @ Houston

Tuesday: NO GAMES

Wednesday:

Denver @ Portland

Houston @ Dallas

New Orleans @ San Antonio

For the Blazers to finish second, we have to finish with a better record than Denver, thereby winning the Northwest Division, and finish with a better record than Houston should they win the Southwest Division. Denver's magic number over us is one, so we need a miracle win by the Kings Monday. We also need a Houston loss, as they have the season series over us.

The Hornets are our best firends right now, as they could potentially deal both Southwest Division leaders a loss, giving us a real opportunity to finish third even with the expected Denver win on Monday.

With two Blazer wins, there is a real possibility of a four-way tie for second place. I believe that is worked out by first determining division winners (Houston & Denver); then figure the tie between those two (Houston by virtue of winning series against Denver 3-1); then order Portland and San Antonio as normal, which Portland wins by taking the season series 3-1, leaving us with:

2. Houston 54-28

3. Denver 54-28

4. Portland 54-28

5. San Antonio 54-28

Eight games in the next four days to shake it all out!
