Could it be that Drew Brees is negotiating a contract based on the future of the NFL? Think about it.

Drew Brees sees the writing on the wall and realizes that the contract he is seeking will be his last before retiring and he not only wants a contract that is commensurate with todays money but rather a contract that would still be top dollar seven years from now. Knowing that the cap grows every year he is seeking money that has not happened yet. If the cap is 120 million today, it could be 150 million six or seven years from now and since he will not be negotiating another contract in his NFL career, he wants a part of the future cap space also. He wants the future now to insure he is still getting top dollar for Qb's when he retires. Could this be the hold up on his negotiations ?? Knowing this is only speculation, I just dont buy it that Two Million is difference between Drew Brees and the Saints front office. That two million is NOW money based on the top three contracts in the NFL. In seven years the THEN money could exceed 150 million or more for a top three QB and if Drew is till playing seven years from now he wants to be in that that top three financially.

The other option could be that Drew wants a piece of the front office better know as the New Orleans Saints and that my friends is a strong possibility. I just dont see Drew sitting out over a mear Two Million dollar difference in the contracts they are now negotiating. So what do y'all think ??? Anyone else think this is a possibility ??? Pure speculation but something to think about and discuss.
