For sure it would assure me a World Series ring, and that would be a happy note if I was to retire.
NL Rookie of the year
According to this Jason Heyward won it. Oh well... bad news can only be balanced with good news today.
Our games get some love from ESPN
Nov. 10: Golden State Warriors at New York Knicks
David Lee comes back to New York to prove himself against Amare Stoudemire. On top of that, we’re bound to see about 270 combined points from these two squads as fantasy basketball teams around the world benefit from the defensive dissonance of the Lee-Stoudemire battle.
Portland Trail Blazers at Golden State Warriors (ESPN) (Christmas game)
And we finish the day off with Brandon Roy and Stephen Curry as we sip egg nog and worry if we ate too many Christmas cookies. Those are five presents from the NBA to you.
Nov. 13: Golden State Warriors at Milwaukee Bucks
Brandon Jennings vs Stephen Curry. I don’t think anything else needs to be said here but don’t forget Brandon Jennings scored 55 points in this matchup last year. There will be plenty of scoring from these two phenoms.
Jan. 21: Sacramento Kings at Golden State Warriors
The top two vote-getters in the 2010 Rookie of the Year race renew the I-80 rivalry once again. Both fan bases want blood in this one.
Jan. 30: Utah Jazz at Golden State (ESPN)
The Jazz are usually one of the faster paced teams in the NBA, but Deron Williams in an environment like this game demands your attention. If Andre Kirilenko and his expiring contract are still around, it will be nice to see him face shooting guards playing power forward.
Feb. 10: Golden State Warriors at Phoenix Suns
Points, possessions and more points in this game. Defense gets a DNP on this night.
Steal -- Anthony Morrow
New Jersey Nets, three years, $12 millionDid the Nets just sign the best shooter in the game for about half the price of J.J. Redick? It's certainly possible. The 6-foot-5 24-year-old from Georgia Tech just wrapped up a prolific shooting campaign from behind the arc last season (.456 3FG%), but the Golden State Warriors surprisingly resisted the option of retaining his rights for just $4 million per year.
It's tough to imagine why the Warriors have no interest in retaining a cheap, young commodity such as Morrow, but then again, we are talking about the Warriors. In New Jersey, Morrow joins a crowded perimeter with Courtney Lee and Terrence Williams on the wing, but it would make a lot of sense for the Nets to deal Williams to a team willing to stomach his erratic play.
Overpay -- David Lee
Golden State Warriors, six years, $80 million
Lee
This isn't a flat-out waste of money; the price tag is just the least palatable among the premier power forward free-agent lot of Bosh, Carlos Boozer and Stoudemire. Despite Lee's massive liabilities on the defensive end, shelling out $80 million on a 20-and-10 player isn't the worst idea in the world. Giving up Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike, as well? That's overpaying.
We'll never know against whom or what the Warriors were bidding, but it's clear the Knicks made out brilliantly in this deal. Instead of letting Lee leave for nothing, the Knicks got the Warriors to throw in three young, serviceable rotation players who are signed to cap-friendly deals. Turiaf and Randolph represented Golden State's only hopes to stop opponents in the paint, but that's all lost with Lee anchoring the middle. By signing Lee to a bloated contract and giving up promising assets, Golden State took two steps back for its one step forward.
Flopping at its finest. This made me laugh so hard. Look at Fisher's face.

GSW PR push for ROY continues to impact: 1 more voter convinced to switch Evans to Curry. My small sample shows at least 11pt swing to Steph
Inconsistant reffing for the loss.
Quick description. Last second shot by Durant in OT. CJ Miles hits his arm as Durant is shooting the desperation 3 while basically running into him. NO FOUL.
Monta Ellis runs by JR Smith and brushes him slightly foul call.
Once again the NBA refs prove why every fan hates them. THey really need to have some consistency on these last second shots. You either call them all or just swallow your whistle.

Curry Rookie of the Month
April FOOLS!
Nah. Curry actually won. Yay for him! Reke will probably still get it but at least Curry is winning some accolade. King's fans will probably be seething.

Wolves Cut their Season Ticket Prices by HALF
Warriors management should do this to show they care... we have the third worst record in the NBA. Cut the prices by 1/3.
That would be the logical thing to do but knowing Rowell.. he'll raise prices because we have another lottery pick coming.
Monta Ellis will play today.
Warriors guard Monta Ellis will play Friday against Utah, the team announced at the morning shootaround. Ellis missed three games after spraining his left knee Feb. 8.
