Fear The Fin The Christmas Party of the San Jose Sharks-A lame attempt at comedy

Enjoy my lame attempt at being funny...A lot of this is based on FTF inside jokes, like Wingels being a kid and McGinn a dick. And awkward Marleau...The only comedy you'll even think of finding in this is how bad it is, but here's my attempt. Yeah...its horrible

(Scene opens with Jamie McGinn and Wingels on Santa's lap.)

Jamie McGinn: Santa, why am I a dick?

Tommy Wingels: Santa, he said a bad word. Is that okay, or does he go on your naughty list?

Santa: Why the hell would a dick be on my nice list?

Wingels: YOU SAY IT TOO?

(Scene shifts to Marleau talking with Thornton, who is cracking a joke. Marleau attempts to high five him. Pavelski and Thornton shift away...)

Marleau: There's something missing in my stomach....can't imagine what...

(Something jumps out at him...it looks like a big head of plaster looking oddly like Logan Couture, with a human body)

Couture: Hey Patty! How's it going?

Marleau: What the HELL is with that?

Couture: What, you think I got that nickname "bust" for nothing?

Pavelski: Um...Cooch? That's not how you got it....

Couture: WHAT?

(Overwhelmed at the shock, Couture drops his ice cream. Greiss runs in and makes the save, and simultaneously rescues a baby from the clutches of a confused Jamie McGinn, who shrugs and goes back to bugging a frustrated Santa, who meanwhile tries to shove a wailing Tommy Wingels off of his lap.)

Greiss: TA DA!

Couture: Wow, thanks!

Marleau: Can you do that in games too? I'd love to see that everyday! Too bad the Fin gets to start. Haha, see guys? Fin and Finn? It's a pun. Quite Punny! Hahaha see what I did there?

Niemi: ....

(Everyone slowly backs away, leaving a baffled Marleau with Santa and Tommy Wingels, who is eagerly telling Santa all about the naughty things Jamie McGinn has done, and what he wants for Christmas. Santa listens with a confused look, and at this point it is noticed Santa is a guy who looks oddly like Doug Wilson with a white beard and a fat red suit. Santa takes out a can of spray tan and complains about it being empty, leaving Marleau agape)

Santa: Tommy, get off my lap! NOW!

Wingels: MOM!

Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf: Hi guys!!

All the Sharks: ...creep...get out.

Santa: Okay, Corey, what's the point? You know I never give you what you want.

Perry: That explains our top line...

Santa: Yeah. And why the hell did you try drinking from that fountain that Teemu Selanne bathes in every day anyways?{This was taken from Down Goes Brown, BTW}

Perry: ...I was...um...trying to come up with hair renewal therapy for Ryan Getzlaf...

Getzlaf: I heard that!

Thornton: Like my picture of my dream pet? (Gestures to a huge, hairy elephant photo on the wall...)

Couture: Jumbo, when they said you loved wooly mammoths...my god...well...

Thornton: What....?!

(Thornton's face twists in rage)

Santa: Everyone get the hell out. Now

(Marleau runs through the door, and Couture and Pavelski do as well. Santa quickly picks up Wingels and runs, telling Cliff Fletcher he'll call him back later, though God knows why. Corey Perry runs to the door and promptly locks it, then tries to get out, although come to think of it, he may have done it in the wrong order...Getzlaf pounds on the door, but all he gets is a frowny face from Tommy Wingels)

Some things are better left unsaid, so we'll leave Corey Perry's fate for later. Merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone, and I hope you haven't burst into tears reading this bad attempt at a comedy. Yeah, I fail :P

Hey guys.

I know this is off topic but

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=Apob.tQe9UaodFg.1xQJbFlivLYF?slug=capress-hkn_obit_boogaard-6847262

Derek Boogard died at age 28...extremely tragic day and very sad...He was found dead in his apartment today apparently. Just...tragic and...awful to say the least. Dude's 28...

Cause of his death is unknown and the investigation is supposed to start...?

Anyways, my condolences to his family and everyone involved in this. Absolutely horrible and tragic and a very bleak day for hockey.

RIP Derek Boogard

Fear The Fin So who is the next captain?

Well since Blake retired the Sharks are gonna need a new captain. Who should it be? Dan Boyle? Patrick Marleau? Joe Thornton? Joe Pavelski? Joe the Plumber? (okay, so that wasn't funny)The gas station dude? (alright, so I'm NOT funny. I'm just searching for random words to fit the 75 word limit). Leave your answer in the comments and the poll. I say Joe Pavelski should be the next captain, with Jumbo Joe and Boyle getting the A.

Fear The Fin HENRIK KARLSSON TRADED TO THE FLAMES FOR A 6TH ROUND PICK!

ugh. DW traded Karlsson for a 6th at the Entry draft! http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=532973

Why was he traded? Thoughts? Reactions? Anger? Anything else? Is this a good deal for the Sharks? And how do you feel about their drafting so far this draft?

I hope this is enough words for the 75 words limit but WHY was he traded?! I hope DW has another move up his sleeve here.

Fear The Fin HALAK TRADED TO BLUES?!?!

Jaroslav Halak was traded to the Blues, it looks like, confirmed by ESPN. This may very well be a marleau to the kings esque deal, where ESPN made it up. But still, assuming he's gone, what would this mean for the Sharks? No Price? :(

So now that price is out of the picture for SJ, what do they do?Sign Chris mason or something? He's very underrated

Or do they sign Nabby to a  cheap deal around 2.75 per year? Or do they go with Griess and Stalock? Either way, this may be false cuz its ESPN but still

Fear The Fin Heatley played with a groin injury(Confirmed by Sharks)

http://sharks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=530270&navid=DL|SJS|home I think this sums up what all of us have been wondering. Scroll down to the very bottom. A torn groin muscle and battling through it with 13 points in 14 games(never mind the two goals that he scored. Pretty darn impressive. He played through injury too. I think this explains the small number of goals scored during the postseason...I'd say that is very impressive

Fear The Fin Anyone know if there are any truth to these rumors?

Found a few rumours on ESPN and some headlines include: GM Wilson may be leaving...Patrick Marleau will likely be on another team...Nabokov likely gone...Thornton may be traded...Sharks signing marquee FA...anyone know if there are any truth to any of these? And what do you people think will happen to the Sharks in the off season? I know it is ESPN...but still...the thought of losing Marleau is...I don't need to say it. And on a side note....I think it is unfair to lay the blame on Marleau for this playoff. Besides, the team is the best SJ ever iced, and I believe this is the best run they have had. They have had to overcome the Avalanche and an own goal, The Red Wings and the "conspiracy theories" and lost against a better team. This year, I do not think they choked.  So...anyways....back on topic...are there any truth to these runours?

Fear The Fin The Sharks are playing....

So after the Detroit vs Chicago game resulting in a Detroit Win and Los Angeles's win over Colorado, the Sharks' first round opponent is NOT Detroit, and NOT Los Angeles, and NOT Nashville. They clinched 1st place and now play the 8th placed Colorado Avalanche! Predictions, thoughts, and is this the team you wanted to face in the first round of the Stanley cup Playoffs? Or would you rather face another team?

I've attached a poll

Poll
What is your prediction for the Sharks/Avs series?
Sharks in 5
37 votes
Sharks in 6
14 votes
Sharks in 7

Avalanche will win

Fear The Fin Who will the Sharks resign?

Marleau, Pavelski, Nabokov, or Setoguchi? Which ones will the Sharks keep? And will they be able to? Who would you keep? And at what costs?

Marleau is having a career year and is the Western leader in Goals, and Nabby is having a great season too. Pavelski is doing better than last year, but Seto....uh, I think it's mainly been injuries. The Sharks have the top 2 goal scorers in the West, though, so maybe they won't resign marleau. Your call. Who will they resign at what cost?

Fear The Fin The Greatest Player in the History of the Sharks?

One last poll. Who is the greatest player ever to play for the Sharks? Dany Heatley, Patrick Marleau, Joe Thornton, Owen Nolan, Dan Boyle, Nabokov, Irbe, Rob Blake, Ray Whitney, Who was the best in San Jose? It needs to be a reasonable answer, and a player that played well here, not just a decorated player. Please leave your thoughts in the comments section of this post. Hoping to see lots of answers, so thanks in advance

Fear The Fin Who is the greatest Defenseman in the history of the San Jose Sharks?

We had a forward poll. Now, who is the greatest Defenseman in the history of the Sharks? Erhoff? Boyle? Blake? Who is the greatest defenseman in the history of the Sharks? Anyone counts that has played for San Jose. And it doesn't have to be from that list, oh no, it doesn't. Who is the greatest in San Jose Sharks history? Leave your thoughts in the comments section. If it is a tie, mention all the names. And please give sensible answers, not something crazy.

Fear The Fin Who was the greatest forward in the history of the Sharks?

Okay, all us fans of the Sharks will need to think about this. Who was the greatest Forward in the history of the San Jose Sharks? Is it Patrick Marleau? Ray Whitney? Joe Thornton? Vincent Damphousse? Dany Heatley? Owen Nolan?    Who was the greatest forward in the history of the San Jose Sharks? It could be a player on this list or not on this list. It doesn't matter. Just tell who is the greatest. And if there is a tie, name all of them?

Everyone decide, and please leave your comments on this article, with your thoughts.
