Im tired of guys having bad years until they play us
Aren't you tired of hearing the announcers talking about how a certain player has played really bad until they play us
Phillip Rivers has not played good until yesterday when he threw 3 td's and 0 interceptions 122 rating
Miles Austin 250 yards Never heard of this guy until he kicked our ass and this is his fourth year and never over 800 yards in a year then he does 250 in one game on us
Eric Weddle 1 sack, no sacks all year until he plays us. These are just some of the players I could think of off the top of my head, there are many many more, and im getting really tired of it.
Is Cassel/Pioli/Haley going make the Chiefs relevant on the National level?
As much as people hate LJ now, when he was good he brought a shit load of attention to the Chiefs. I remember seeing LJ on Letterman or Leno, and ESPN, seeing celebs with his jersey on. When do you ever see a celebrity with a Chiefs jersey on nowadays? Tony G. has always been a big hit as well, but he's gone and LJ isn't doing anything anymore (whether it's his fault or not) D Bowe is a very good WR but he's no Moss or Fitzgerald so he's overlooked. So is Cassel going to do for the Chiefs what Brady did for the Pats? The Pats are in the limelight now, but nobody used to give a crap about the Pats.
Its great being wrong
I made a thread a couple days ago, basically asking people what they were gonna do when the Chiefs lost again. I was wrong and Im telling you it feels great. On a side note I did say LJ would have a hell of a game and he did. Tell me were any of you like me, and nervous up until Hali got that safety even though, we basically had it wrapped up. Even though it was ugly it's nice getting the W, enjoy everyone and hopefully this will shut all the haters up for a while. So tommorow when that asshole at work says, "The chiefs suck!" punch them in the mouth, and say "Yeah they do, but at least they are better then the Redskins."
Im gonna laugh
When LJ rushes for 100+ yards on sunday despite people saying he sucks.
When Branden Alberts replacement doesn't give up a sack and is domninate despite people saying he will cave.
When Leggett gets 2 interceptions, doesn't give up any plays, and has a 10 tackles despite people saying he gets beat on routes and can't tackle.
When Glenn Dorsey has 2 sacks, and 3 tackles for a loss despite people saying he's a draft bust.
When Haley completely out coaches the Redskins despite everyone calling for his head.
When our team plays consistently good instead of consistently bad despite people saying our players are lazy and apathetic.

How are you going to react after we lose on sunday?
Okay obviously we could win, but I think we will lose more then likely. The skins are bad but I think they are a better team then we are.I have been looking around this website, and it seems most of you think we will win, but I don't know why. The Skins have good defense, and are equal if not better then us on offense, they also have two wins, both are about as good as us tampa and the rams. I think if we played the rams 10 times we would win only 5 because they are just as good as us same with tampa, we stink right now but we will get better. So I am just wondering what everyone will do when we lose, me I will look at our performance if we played well (well for what we have to work with), have improved and it's entertaining I will be content. If we win I will be very happy unless we win and don't show improvement, we just beat a team that played horrid, anyway that's my two cents
In the year 2010
What if we end the season 1-15? What if we have the number 1 pick overall? Will we be in a position to trade? Sam Bradford will probably be the most sought after player in the 2010 draft, and he is much better then any of the QB's from this draft, so would we be able to trade him. Right now there is a shortage of talented QB's, hell look at how badly everyone wanted Cassel and he's good and all but no where near great. I think it's very possible we could only win 1 to 2 games this year, and be the number one overall. Or if we cant trade would we go towards the best OL in the draft, I doubt Pioli would go after a skill position, but we do need an explosive player, not as bad as OL but pretty bad, what do you think?
Lets take some chances and have some fun.
Lets face it we are going to get outmatched as far as talent, by about any team. Also what we are doing now is not working, that's why we are 0-5 it seems like when we get a lead or get caught up we get very conservative, let's go for and put that last nail in the coffin. The only way we are going to be able to win is to be a little nutty at times. For instance: when we have to punt, have Jamaal Charles hold the snap, all out blitz leave two safeties out and everybody else blitz, go for it on 4th down and long if its passed the 50, direct snaps too jamaal charles or Bradley(bradley has a good arm remember the Thigpen TD last year) with two blocking TE's. I for one would rather see a coach with some balls, that really tried, and just getting out classed then losing cause you didn't give your all. We need to be creative, and keep our opponent guessing other then run, get shut down, run again, pass, come up a little short punt. If it doesn't work then try something else, sometimes you gotta be careless. What do you guys think?
We still won this game
In the record books, we lost, but you all know we won. Not because we should have or did that we beat the other team, but we won a little bit of our dignity back. We played as a better team, we got beat up a little and still kept playing. Let's face it Dallas is a better team, and we got a few lucky breaks in the beginning, but after that it was all the Chiefs we kept playing .Cassell played his best game as a Chief, and honestly this is probably the best Chiefs game I have seen in well over two years. If you don't think the team got a whole lot better today your blind. My heart was racing, I was on the edge of my seat, this game was awesome, cause we kept playing, so all you haters that said fire Haley, need to shut up, as far as the haters saying trade LJ well I might be seeing your way now. Honestly guys, if we play like that I won't have any problem with the Chiefs, I feel like our D was really on today, our line looked crappy Cassell got hit too much, and we don't have many weapons, but Cassell our leader today became a leader. I truly believe he is our guy, and if we can just get him some more help we will win many games.

We're getting a W this weekend
F- the cowboys, I have always hated them, they have a good offense but they suck, badly on D Tony Romo is a big puss and breaks under pressure, if I step back and look at the situation, the Cowboys should win. Today however I am thinking with my heart, and it badly wants to shove a boot up the Cowboys ass! I don't know why, but I think we're gonna win this one, who's with me Go Chiefs!!
What would our team be like if we still had jared allen?
Let me first state I am a HUGE Jared Allen fan, I like his bigger then life personality, his passion for the game, and his tremendous skill. I don't wanna look the numbers up but the last year he played we were rated 15th I believe and the next year 26th, that's a huge drop. We all know he's a great player who averages over 10 sacks a year over 14 the last two years he played, he's still a young guy, and he dominates. Okay so what I'm thinking is where would we be now if we didn't lose Jared Allen we didn't really pick up any exceptional players in the draft because of the trade, but what do you think?
I love her but sometimes she's, just not enough for me
Let's face this year has been rough, I despite what the haters say am sticking with my man squeeze the Chiefs. Yeah she's put on some weight, and her hormones are all out of whack, sometimes she nags at me, and honestly our nights together are getting kind of redundant and predictable. Just this sunday, I was at the bar enjoying her company, and I couldn't help, but look at the other prospects, a pretty little blonde from New England caught my eye and a hot brunette from Atlanta was given me the come hither, and as much as i'm tempted I gotta stay with her. I'm loyal even though she really hit rock bottom, she was pretty fine at one time, I remember when it seemed all we were doing was scoring and maybe even going for the "Extra point" if you know what I mean. But then a couple years ago she dried up, started taking me for granted, and really let her self go. So, I hate to admit it but I've been looking around, maybe even messing around a little, and I gotta be honest I've had some fun times; but it's to the point now that I think she's even starting to be a little ashamed of herself, she's working on the weight and hopefully when her self esteem rises a little she want have such a bad attitude. What do you guys think?

How are you mad when you are right?
Before this season started a lot of people on this site, were saying things like "Our schedule is so tough and we are rebuilding that we will be lucky to win 4 games." So far we have played 3 really good teams, that nobody really thought we were gonna beat, the Raiders game is the only game I am mad about. Do I like losing? No, I hate it as much as all you do, but we all saw these losses coming. Our team is new, we are not on the same page, the coach is new, GM is new, and we are gonna suck this year. If we suck next year then get worried, in my mind I am giving the Chiefs a slight pass, by that I am just looking at getting better for the long term future instead of just being okay in the immediate.

Was the ball coated in vaseline
I swear it seemed like every time the ball got near a players hands it slipped out and was spat 10 feet, as if it were covered in some kind of slippery vaseline substance. On a side not I dont know what a lot of you are getting worked up about we got beat by a better team we honestly looked better then I thought we would give the Chiefs some credit and Haley, if they got beat by Rams like that then I would understand but the Giants will make about every team look that bad right now.
This game is s win-win
Lets face it the Chiefs suck, they are the laughing stock of the NFL, right now we are the worst team, but we are playing one of the best teams. The Giants are a solid team, nobody expects us to win, Haley included, so if we go out there and punch those New York pansies in the mouth early on they might really S-themselves. Here's how I see it, I am not a betting man but if I was, it's not personal it's business I would bet on the Giants. If however we are competitive or if somehow we actually win, this will turn out very positive for us in the long run. If we lose who cares we suck they are good it should have happened, if we are competitive it gives us a little fire in our belly, and if we win people who just last week talked major S on the Chiefs will somehow be "Born Again" Chiefs fans. Instead of "Did you see the chefs game?" followed by a snicker and smile, it will be "Wow did you see the CHIEFS! that was a great game I knew Haley was a great coach." So all I'm saying is this game will not hurt our stock.
Just talking out my ass
Could it be possible that Pioli and Haley, know we are a crap team, and that they might have been able to pick up some good playmakers and we might have won a couple games like 6 or 7, but we would lose out on a good draft. Basically what im saying is: Have Haley and Pioli just written this year off as a loss, and are just thinking about getting a good draft next year, im not saying they are losing on purpose, but that maybe this year losing isn't so important as long as in the future we have a consistently good playoff team.
I am gonna start watching dolphins games
Because even though everyone hates Thigpen, and that says he can't run a traditional offense and that he's all gimmick, the man is exciting to watch. He makes things happen, and he gives you his all which is more then you can say for most of the chumps on our team. I think he will be a great addition to the wildcat they so badly want in Miami, and will have a good career. Congrats Thigpen hopefully they appreciate you more in Florida then we did in KC.

I have become Un-comfortably numb
Players get uneccessary penalties and instead of yelling at the TV like I used too I just think that its normal, the only thing consistent with the Chiefs right now is inconsistency . I think we will get better, but honestly I dont think we are gonna be a remotely good football team until next season. I am not bagging on the Chiefs, it's just the truth they really are not a good time, some of it has to do with players not being used to Haley's gameplan which will fix itself with more experience, some of it is just bad players and that will work out with new better players taking their spot, and some of it is just players getting overanxious and making mental errors like holding and getting off sides. I see good in the future with this team I really do, but don't plan on it happening soon.
You can't be mad at you F student for getting a D instead of an A
But it still sucks to watch. On a side note Jamaal Charles looked awesome, Haley is starting to really trust his team going for it on 4th down two weeks in a row coming up some aggressive plays, and putting LJ in a lot more even though his numbers were not so good in the first half, also Savage looked like our best punt returner since Dante Hall, if D bowe would have been in I think we would have still lost but been much more competitive. Let's face it guys we love the Chiefs we aren't gonna stop watching but I dont see us winning a game for a month or so.
Is it the Chiefs or the Almost?
Every week we almost win.But some how blunder it just like we have done for the last what year this is getting really ridiculous. I get sick to my stomache watching these crappy games I understand every team loses but come on this game was stupid it should have been a blow out we should have won by a couple TD's but instead we gave the Raiders enough chances even a crap team like them will score eventually.
Chiefs vs. Packers 2003 best game i've ever seen
Let me set the seen this was during the Chiefs magical season when they were a juggernaut on offense, the Chiefs had the number 2 offense averaging almost 370 yards per game. The game took place in Lambo Field and this was when Favre was really good, the packers had the 4th rated offense that year and they had the number 17 defense, the Chiefs had no defense it was 29. We were getting our asses kicked it and were down by 17 points in the 4th quarter, at this time we were 5-0 thats almost as many games as we have won in the last 2 seasons, so nobody would have talked badly on the Chiefs for losing and going 5-1. But being the fierce competitor Trent Green is he picked his team up, and tied the game The game goes to overtime and Morten Anderson (remember him older then dirt but very accurate within 40) got his kick blocked and green bay recovered, and end up kicking a FG making it 34-31 GB. The chiefs get the ball back and are driving towards the end zone on the last play of the game Trent Green throws a 52 yard TD to Eddie Kennison and we go 6-0 the rest is history.
Is this a repeat of last year?
Sorry if im a buzz-kill but it just makes me wonder after watching todays game, and having to live through the LONG season last year, of getting so close winning a game and then blowing it in the 4th quarter. Don't get me wrong at times the defensive looked top ten, Croyle actually looked superb at times, and the special teams played great. We all saw promising things and the game was very close. These are all nice, but I wanna win.
