My grandparents have been going to games since the franchise moved to Oakland, so I've been a fan as long as I can remember. My real formative years came during lean times that somehow produced a strike-shortened division title in 1981. But there was never a dull moment with BillyBall, Rickey, Bill King, and Krazy George in the fold.
