In the past year I now have two useless Jerseys. Any suggestions on what to do with an old Steve Slaton and Demeco Ryans Jersey? What have y'all done with old jerseys that no longer hold relevence to the roster?

Can some one please post the GIF of Brian Cushing on the sideline in the game against the Titans? It is the one where Foster Runs out of bounds and two BSNF players look like they are talking shit and Cushing walks over and they both walk away.

As you know, I lived in Pittsburgh for the last 4 and 1/2 years. In those years you blessed Pittsburgh with 2 Super Bowl trips. In 2005 you blessed them with a win of the Texans. Lord, I have endured the trials and tribulations that no fan should have to endure (except Titans fans). I lived in a city with Lunatics and Yinzer's and I have paid my dues. I put up with the ridicule and embarrassment of putting down 5 dollars every year that the Texans would make it to the super bowl.

 

I ask you one thing this coming Sunday. Please allow Super Mario to sack "the rapist", nay please allow Super Mario to anal rape "the rapist" to his hearts content this Sunday. Allow the Texans to manhandle the Steelers for 4 quarters and not just 2 or 3. Allow me to not have a conscious after this win and Text all of my friends the most defile and arrogant messages of our win. Allow me to think of the most terrible things to say to them and shove 4 and 1/2 years of resentment into a text message, Facebook status, or phone call.

It comes out on the 30th I believe. I haven't bought a Madden since 2009 and I am pretty sure I bought that one 6 months after it came out. I played the Demo for 2012 and it feels different. I actually like it.  That being said I think I will spend the 60 bucks to buy it when it comes out.

Your Houston Texans are not receiving any national love. I enjoy going onto SI.com to get my non-Texans related news (anything Texans related I get from BRB of course). Don Bank and Peter King have their weekly articles that come out, but for the past two weeks...nothing on the Texans!

I know it is the preseason, but you think they would mention at least something about our 7 sack first game, 4 sack INT FF 2nd game. Something about Arrian Foster juking the pants off New Orleans Safety. Anything about Ben Tate rushing for 100 yards on 5 carries, but no there is not one mention.

Now, I have come to except the national media not covering the Texans how they cover say, The Jets and the "Oh so newsworthy hot dog eating incident" but COME ON! How about one single mention.

I guess it could be good...staying under the the radar? What say you friends?

Going to my first game tonight and I was looking at parking. I see all the parking lots are pre-sold? Is there places where you can pay to park around the stadium or do you have to have a presold pass to park.

 

Where do I get a parking pass if there is no where else to park?

 

Is there parking at the old Astro-world lot?

Who would like this pick in the second round? CB from Texas? Maybe it is just because he is from Texas that I like him, but I think we need to get another CB in the 2nd or 3rd round. I saw him play only a few times...but I was just reading through and he would seem like a good pick...does anyone know more on him? Or do you think we should get an OLB in the 2nd?

To root for their own team to lose. Last week against Denver and this last weekend I did/ will be rooting for the Texans to lose. The sole reason is for better draft position.

Is anyone else in this same boat, or do you believe a win would be better than a loss in this situation?

I personally don't think it is wrong, even for a very strong supporter of the team to root for your team to lose when the season in lost anyway. In essence, all I am rooting for is a better team next year right?

Don't mind the story line...There is no way I am going to miss the Texans play on Thursday night, how many of you are planning on switching back and forth between the game and the Heat- Cav game? I do not like watching basketball unless I am at a game, but I am a sucker for a good story...and Lebron's return "home" is about as good as it gets right now. Hey y'all quick question you might be able to help me out with. I am in San Antonio right now...I am coming home to Houston Friday morningish for the weekend. I would love to make it to a practice for training camp...how do I go about getting tickets? Is it just a show up and get them there or what? Please let me know... I have a wedding Saturday so going to watch them Friday would make the wedding bareable for Saturday. ORLANDO -- In a move that will at least remove the NFL's nightmare scenario of a Super Bowl that's unduly impacted by the flip of a coin, the league's owners on Tuesday surprisingly approved a modified sudden death overtime proposal.

The new rule, which will be in effect for the NFL's postseason only, allows the team that loses the coin flip at the start of overtime to have a possession unless a touchdown is scored -- either offensively or defensively -- on the first possession.

Twenty-eight of the owners voted to approve the proposal, with four voting against it -- Buffalo, Minnesota, Baltimore and Cincinnati. Twenty-four votes were needed to approve the proposal.

I mostly read here on battle red blog and post little, but I need your help. Our school at Duquesne University has cut our men's swim team. We have a yearly budget of 40k to run our team...and our school has a athletic budget of 10.8m. Cutting us does nothing to improve their financial situation, we are ranked 18th or 19th among all division I schools in GPA.  You may not support swimming or Duquesne at all, but help a Texan fan out...e-mail, call, write letters to the people below and tell them they made a mistake cutting us. I am losing my second family for nothing! Please help out or if you have any other ideas that could help us let us know. We are located in Pittsburgh, Pa...I have a giant Texans sticker on the back of my truck and I get yelled at all the time by Steelers fans...just to show you my dedication =)

What the hell guys? I know you are upset that we lost, but honestly shut the hell up. Every year I go out and I buy the new one for my xbox 360. I play through a franchise with the Texans and I have one player that is really good on my team that generally is not that great in real life. I then will watch the games thinking this guy should be a superstar and he sucks! For Example a few years back I played Madden when Phillip Buccannon was on the team. I got like 8 picks with him in a season...then he sucked all year long...

 

The Madden Franchise distorts my image of actual players...Do I have a lawsuit? Haha!! I am a nerd.

I do not know if any of you caught the interview with Brian Cushing on sports radio 610 today...but I did. Now I am not a huge fan of the pick and thought the guy looked like he should be on the cover of a romance novel before his hair cut so I went listening into the interview with a little bit of a bias...I did go in with the thought that listening to the guy speak could change my mind about him and make me realize he is a good guy and going to be a good player....

Welllll....It did the opposite...he had a great attitude about working hard and all that, but the guy just flat out gave out an arrogant interview. I thought it came across as full of himself and thinks that he is going to be some great player when he has yet to take a snap. I don't know...did any one else catch this interview? Was it just my Bias getting in the way? Let me know.

With Favre Officially out of the picture the Vikings now have themselves a QB battle brewing at training camp. Former Houston Backup Sage Rosenfels and the incumbent Tavaris Jackson. I liked to watch Sage play when he was in a Texan uniform and think that he will take the job away from Jackson and start week 1. What do y'all think? Do you think Sage is good enough to be a starter for the entire season?

What would y'all like to see happen regarding the Vikings and Favre. Obviously Rosenfels went over their in a trade, Would you rather see Sage play or see Favre return to battle against the Packers. What do you think will happen.

 

Personally I think he will end up going to the Vikings...he got surgery, is rehabbing hard, and throwing the football around? What retired football player do you know is going to rush to do all those things during retirement?

I wish Sage would get an opportunity to start and Feel like it would be a punch in the gut for him if they do end up taking in Brett, cause then he basically has no chance of being the starter.

What do you think the weakest part of the Texans offense is at one position...minus the offensive line...So obviously it boils down to either... QB, WR, TE, RB, or FB.  It is a tough call as all areas are pretty solid...but what and why do you feel that position is the weakest.

Personally I would have to say QB. Not because we have a terrible QB, but because of his turnover numbers. Going into his third year as a starter he should have the experience behind him now to become a hell of a great quarterback.

 

I know of 2 sports radio stations in the houston area on AM...610 and 790....is there any other i should know about? Or is there any on FM? Thank you for the help.
