Cavs Clippers Game last night?
Did anyone see the end of the Cavs Clippers game last night when Lebron and Co. came back 19 points? One particular play made me appreciate Blazer management for trading Zach Randolph.
OK the last 5 seconds, Clippers down two, after a Timeout, they inbound it to Zach. Mind you, there's FIVE full seconds left. This is not B-Roy with .8 seconds left (Houston). Zach immediately launches an ill advised 26 footer. Airball (might have grazed the rim), GAME OVER. The cav's comeback was fully complete. LMAO!! Camera switches to Dunleavy, who looks DISGUSTED, then to Zach, who has a cheesy smile on his face.
This REALLY made me appreciate what Blazer management has done with the Blazers roster, and committing to Brandon Roy, who is one of the best game closers in the NBA.
KG pic in latest issue of SI
So I was browsing the latest issue of Sports Illustrated- Pictures of the year issue, and I come upon a picture of KG on all fours, in his dog pose, similar to what he did to Bayless...
Sorry I couldn't find it on the web. But check it out when the issue is released.
Here's the caption "This photo perfectly represents Garnett's intensity. Any questions about his desire to defend the title were answered right there."
PUULEASE.....spare me this crap. This is an ACT......
NY fans are kinda lame
Yo, Blazer fan here in NYC. I was at the game last night sitting in the top row. There were more blazer fans and rudy fans in my section than knicks fans. sad for knicks, great for blazer fans.
with about two minutes to go, which keep in mind, is PLENTY of time left, blazers pull ahead by 10. Knicks Time Out, then Knicks fans start leaving the game. Granted i knew the blazers would never relinquish the lead, this is sad to see as a basketball fan.
after the timeout, knicks hit a three with 1:50 left, only down by 7. again PLENTY of time left for a mini comeback!!! (member TMAC bringing the rockets back from 8 down in the last 1:30?) Again the knicks fans still kept pouring out of the arena. WOW. to me it showed the lack of heart in the knicks franchise.
Anyways just thought i'd share this and realize how GREAT our fans are in the Rose Garden. Every game is ELECTRIC at our home games now.
Late game situation rant
Every time the blazers personel and "experts" talk about close games such as last nights warrior game, regarding the reffing situation, they always say that "well we could have played better, not commit a high number of turnovers, and not be in that situation in the first place."
well the fact is, the blazers did indeed turn the ball over a lot, not play well, were behind, BUT still worked to get themselves back in the game at the end, only to have it truly ruined by the refs. There is no other explanation. close games happen ALL the time.
in a perfect world, the blazers would always play better and put themselves in better positions to win. but it doesn't happen. Close games happen because opponents also play well, (warriors D, FT's etc).
so i applaud the blazers for working through a bad game, coming back, only to have it ruined by the refs. experts, critics, and blazer coaches, side with the fans for once, place blame on the refs, complain to david stern, and pay the fine. it would be well worth it.
