McCovey Chronicles NLCS From London??

Alright guys - I've got a big problem - flying to London from SFO on Sunday (of course my flight leaves at 5, and does not have TV in the seats or wifi on board), but I'm gone for the entire NLCS, which is going to drive me absolutely insane.

I know some of you live in the UK, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of bars or other places in London that will be showing the game, preferably with fellow fans?  I can always watch it on my laptop, but would much rather find a local place to watch.  Still not sure where I'm staying, but I'm perfectly competent with public transportation and have spent enough time in London that I can find my way around.

Thanks!!

McCovey Chronicles I'm somewhat new

to baseball...didn't start following the giants until a few years ago (after the shortened 2002 season).

Can anyone help clue me in on the peripheral stats (both for hitting and pitching), or point me to a place with good info on them?

Also...quick poll...

1- how many games do you go to or plan to go to every year?  (I started slow...went to 10 last year, shooting for 20 this year and season tickets next if i make it.)

2- Favourite place to sit in the park? (1st base field club--expensive but the fieldclub only food section is AWESOME)

McCovey Chronicles OT: speaking of ridiculous money

Manchester City, the smaller of the two Manchester rivals (but now, with Arab owners, the richer apparently), just offered 107 million GBP (Pounds) for Kaka, last year's world's best player.  This more than DOUBLES the previous world record fee.

In dollar terms, you're talking about $150 million (even with the much stronger dollar), last year, this would've been worth $214 million, plus or minus some.

Keep in mind, this is not what Kaka, the player, is being paid...but what AC Milan are being paid for this player.  Speculation is that he will be offered a deal in the region of 500,000 GBP PER WEEK! (approx. $720,000), or, more than $35 million per year. Fully guaranteed.

Makes Sabathia seem like a bargain...
