Week 13: Thus ends the First Half

Whew. Even though I'm a day late (shoot, I thought today was Saturday...) lets just assume this was done before today's game... and I welcome you to the end of the first half of the season.

Take a look at the large prettiness, because its going to contract itself starting next week. You'll see "First Half" followed by Week 14 in next week's standings. Just makes things nice and compact-er for me.

Hello. A bit late than usual, but blame that on my laptop that decided it didn't want power anymore, making me have to quickly evacuate all my files to my desktop. That was fun.

But enough of my troubles, lets get on to the results this week. I'm glad to announce that we hit our 200th unique player to our Halos Heaven Pregame Picks game (now at 203!). Whaaat is going on! This last pregame picks were quite disappointing when I came around to it. You don't get to use conditionals in your pregame picks! That includes (but does not limit to) choices such as "whoever starts as Catcher" or "Player A or Player B, whichever is higher up in the order"

Yup, paint the week with a nice bright halo because we managed to chalk up a W each and every day! (Well, one day off... but it doesn't sound as nice any other way)

And impressively, one person was able to shine bright amongst the fellow 98 HH players who partook in the festivities this week. Only 2 new folk came in and joined us, but... it was a nice outing...

Week 9: Walkoff Wins Galore!

3 wins this week... and all 3 of them were walkoffs!
How nifty. Alas, there was no walkoff win for this week's challenge.

We have a nice 2-way tie for first, and a 14-way tie for 3rd. Yikes! and 20 people tied after that. Nice and bunched up this time. I guess that'll happen when you average less than a point per game! (Except one, where everyone who guessed got a 3, huzzah.)

Iiiin any case, the people who top the list among the 98 people who came to entertain us this week (including 7 newbies), are names you are certainly familiar with. One much over the other, but if your'e an HH vet, you know both of them equally well.

Yup. If you've been paying attention, you may have noted a lack of Postgame results... alas, that was coupled with my fun fun finals week and my desire to actually try and focus for once. Who woulda thunk.

So, this means that you've only seen one day's worth of results! How could you possibly know how you did. That means you DEFINITELY have to see more!

Ahhh. Dang. And I had a nice string of saturday updates going. Oh well... this isn't the only streak broken this past week. With 5 new players this week who contributed to the 110 of you who participated this week, produce another double digit socre for the leader. Impressive? I suppose. Especially with the egg layed for this last game.

Oh pain. Looks like it was good that I didn't stick around for the game... because this looks pretty darn depressing.

And yeah, I'm gonna stick to the only positive, which is that we actually managed to score runs! Riiight.

Without question let's slap the blame on Justin Speier. Que paso Speier. Que paso.

Can't even find a LOSE image to fit this disaster... oh well. Let's rant about this series here...
