Who cares about Marshall's record? Not me

I could care a less about the Marshall record today. The more people that are involved in catching the ball the better the offense will be. Not sure why our Young Jedi is allowing Orton to do this.

Ouch does our O-line suck. Need to spend some draft picks on replacing the slugs... Even Clady has looked lazy lately. Somebody needs to light a fire under them.

We sure did miss Larsen's blocking today. Great use of Hillis today as well. Why not give him a chance.

The best way to slow down an agressive pass rush? Maybe a screen pass to a RB or TE.

Jedi gets an D- for play calling today.

Tim Crowder Update

Just thought I would give everyone a heads up on how Tim Crowder is doing. He had 5 total tackles in the game against Carolina. He looks a lot better than Gaines Adams and I just don't understand why the bears would trade a second round pick for Adams... Tough times in Tampa, sure hope they get a high profile couch next year and a new GM.

I gave it a C

drafting a tight end in the second was crazy in my opinion! We got good produciton from our 7 running backs last year. It should be about the same this year. I like the small cornerback. To much is made of height and the perfect weight.. Not sure, but I am 6"3 and I can not dunk. I like the fact he took some people to specifically help out special teams. It sounds like Josh is smart enough not to kick to devin hester……

Looks like they just updated the Broncos Depth Chart again.

It will be interesting to see if Moss makes it. What a game yesterday. Thank goodness for the turnovers, I was begining to wonder if we were cursed or not. thoughts on the Pre-Season "3 and out Baby"

The preseason is over and I have to admit I am impressed with what I have seen. I am not saying it will be a great year, but we are moving in the right direction. Nice Job by Josh and the coaches pulling this all off. Here are a couple of thoughts after looking at the preseason stats

Offense

Turnovers Ranked #29 with -5. Thank goodness for that last game. It could have been worse. At least the defense will be allowed to be aggressive in this area
Time of Possesion Ranked #3 at 32.40. This is a nice surprise for me and this will help our defense improve greatly as they are not on the field all the time.
Offense penalty Yard Ranked #29 @ 164 yards. Nice job except that bears game was brutal. We could have been ranked 32! This shows Josh's detail this year in training camp. Thank You
3rd down percentage ranked 24th at 36%. No worries yet. We were evaluating talent not padding stats.
Points per game Ranked 24th with 16.2. We must improve this number over laster year in order to have any success this year
Yards per game Ranked 19th @ 308.

Defense

Points per Game Ranked 13th @ 17.8. Great to see this with all the change!
Yards per Game Ranked 7th. Way to go D!
3rd down percentage Ranked 5th @ 35%. My slogan for 2009 is "3 and Out Baby!"

I think it might be time for us to start looking at new uniforms. That seemed to get us over the Super Bowl hump last time. What ever design we use it should be intimidating to the oposition and give us a true advantage. Here are my design thoughts

The uniform should make Eddie Royal look 6'3.

slippery enough to enable Ryan Clady to not allow one sack. Whoops we already have that with 1/2 a sack

The new uniforms should make 30 second commercials seem like 15. HDR's are the best!

Allow Hillis to run a 4.2 40 yard dash in wet conditions .

Enable us to be on national television every week. This would save me my NFL ticket money

The uniforms will need to create enough buzz that I won't have to listen to those two idiots on the NFL Network talk at half-time.

They need to change colors as the game wears on. Broncos Orange Crush if we are doing well. Pink if we are loosing to the faiders or chiefs.

Bears QB Jay Cutler completes first 12 passes in 7-on-7 drills

Well he did not take long to get comfortable. We miss you JC!

We're keeping an eye on Jay Cutler during his first Bears training camp.

Ho-hum day: Nothing too spectacular from Cutler on Day 3. He completed his first 12 passes during 7-on-7 drills. His first incompletion was an uncharacteristic drop by Matt Forte. Cutler started full-team drills 0-for-3, including a high throw that Devin Hester couldn't quite corral. Cutler completed 18 of 23, by our count.

Wild side: The crowd buzzed as Cutler split out wide left and Hester lined for the direct snap in the "Wildcat" formation. Cutler pretty much stayed out of the way as Hester did his thing.

Lovie-ism: (On the Wildcat) "Jay Cutler's an athlete too. So who knows, we may throw him a pass out there." Smith quickly recanted his statements, saying the Bears wouldn't be throwing to Cutler and that it was a "bad joke." Guess he didn't want to give the Packers advance notice.
