I'm signed up for Mariners text alerts (So I get the nightly reminder of the M's losing in text also), and I just got a text saying that Sexson has been released.

It's about time this happened. I was pretty excited in the offseason before 05 when we picked up Beltre and Sexson, looks like that didn't really work out too well.

Here's to Vidro, Cairo, etc. getting the boot hopefully ASAP!

What are your guy's thoughts on Crisp as a fit for the M's?

I was browsing mlbtraderumors and saw that the Red Sox are trying to move Crisp but don't have any matches. With them not wanting to block Ellsbury, and probably not wanting that expensive of a 4th OF, if this dragged on until spring training and near the start of the season do you guys think the Red Sox would accept a lower offer to move Crisp? Dont the Red Sox need a backup catcher.. Maybe a Rob Johnson + Another decent prospect for Crisp? He seems like he'd be a decent left handed (or is he switch hitter, im honestly not positive) bat behind Ichiro that would also allow Ichiro to move to right, and if we were lucky, Wilkerson to left and Ibanez to DH/1B. Thoughts?

Also.. Did anyone pick up the new Mars Volta CD.. Its pretty darn good. Ouroboros, Aberinkula, Metatron and Ileyna are probably my favs. Thomas Pridgen rocks on drums. He is amazing. I've barely started getting into them, probably 3-4 months ago, I dont know where Ive been all these years. Any other TMV fans here?

So for Halloween this year I am planning on dressing up at work and seeing as how I am surrounded by Angels fans here, (Live in OC/LA County) I thought it would be funny to dress up as Ichiro. I have the uniform and everything. What I was wondering is if anyone knew of a place to get an Ichiro mask, or if there is even a place that sells something like that.

I was searching on ebay, and Google, with no luck. There have to be people out there that want to be Ichiro for Halloween also!

Sorry if this has been posted, I haven't really seen it anywhere and was wondering if it was legit. I was browsing the OC Register's sports page and noticed a small side artice that basically said 'Former Angels GM.. Now GM of the Seattle Mariners..Recently has inquired about the Athletic Director position at Cal State Fullerton.' I guess their AD recently resigned or retired. Anyone hear anything about this and know if there is any truth to it? Maybe the one silver lining to blowing the season everyone's been talking about?

With the Yanks/Angels facing off I was wondering..

Playoff contenders facing off..

Hello all, first time poster here with a question. With a few big matchups between fellow AL playoff contenders having just passed/coming up, I was wondering what everyone else's feelings are when two of our biggest playoff threats are facing off. With us just trailing the Angels by 2 games in the West, and only a half game ahead of the Yankees in the Wild Card, which team will everyone here be pulling for in this series? I feel we have a shot to overtake the division, yet if the Angels can manage a sweep and we are able to win 2 of 3 or sweep (Which I know would be a major stretch considering who we have going tonight), we can have a more comfortable lead on the Wild Card. Yet if the opposite scenario happens, with the Yanks/Angels (I think we already assume the M's are going to have to win), we could findourselves ahead/just one game behind the Halos when we take them on at home. Of course the Angels could sweep the Yanks, and if we manage to keep pace we could hope for a sweep at home that would put us above both the Yankees and Angels. I know it is foolish to hope for a sweep but I feel we'd be able to pull it off, especially with the way we've been playing at home. And not just limiting this to LAA/NYY, when other contenders (CLE/DET, LAA/CLE) face off, who do you guys generally pull for?
