Panicked Redskins Send Another Couple First-Round Picks To St. Louis Just To Make Sure
I just thought that this was pretty funny.
"We have to take steps to protect the future of this organization," Redskins owner Daniel Snyder said Monday, adding that he would also consider throwing in tight end Chris Cooley, Washington’s best offensive player, and $1.4 million in cash if it helped to "make super sure" his team gets the pick. ......
.......Rams officials said they had filed the paperwork to transfer the draft pick, but that having Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo "couldn't hurt the process."
23 best schools for school sprit.
Yeah, the Beavers made the list (along with a bunch of PAC-12 teams); however U of Zero and UW are not on the list! State schools have more pride I guess!
GO BEAVERS!!
Looks like Randy Moss to the 49ers
Read the title.
Totally Irrelevant, but I'm just too damn happy!
I know this has nothing to do with the Rams (or even my Beavs) but I found out that I have been accepted in the University of Nevada, Reno grad school!!!!! Which means, I can now fly (or drive) cheaper to home games in St. Louis, or even for away games in SF and SEA. The only reason I posted this here, is that I've been a (small) part of this blog for over 3 years now, I think. I don't know how many of you saw that picture of the letter "From Sam Bradford's Desk" but the journey continues! I'll scout the players from UNR for the future drafts for you guys! Though, I am still waiting to hear from Oregon State, I'm sure I'll be moving to Reno, because of their funding. Thanks for letting me take-up some space over here at TST!
Khan selling his Yacht - what a rich mofo.
The new Jags owner is selling his yacht that costs about twice as much as his team's payroll for a year.
Check out the pictures of the damn thing at the bottom of the article - WOW.
Happy Birthday, Van!
Sorry for it being a day late :( But happy birthday to the man that runs this awesome blog: Ryan Van Bibber, formerly known as VanRam.

"Thank You Fans" commercial with Sam, SJax, 55 and Rampage
Rams getting some love from the NFL! If anyone wants to watch the players sing, watch.
Brandon Lloyd's interview with 101ESPN
First of all thanks m0pi1 for the tip and the link, I figured more people needed to listen who are curious about his future.
Overall a good interview covering topics like:
-Jeff Fisher
-Sam Bradford
-Does Lloyd want to stay? (yes, if he fits Fisher's scheme)
-Blackmon and would he like to play on the same team
-How fas the Rams can turn the franchise around
-Broncos playoff win
-Tebowing
Totally Random FanPost that No One Needs to Read, but I Think it's Kinda Cool
So I've been wanted to meet-up with some people that frequent TST for a bit now. Yesterday, out of the blue, while at the Portland International Airport, I saw that dbcouver posted something and I said "I have 2 hours at PDX if you wanna grab a beer". Sure as hell, we met-up and had a beer while talking about the Rams, TST and our mutual hatred for the UO Ducks :)
Then today, I was at Fred Meyer, with my girlfriend and saw a guy in a Rams hat, so like I normally do I said "Go Rams!" while showing him my sweatshirt (that a certain Douglas M sent me). He replied with "No kidding, Yeah!" As my girlfriend is embarrassed I said "Hell, there's 3 of us in the whole state, gotta love running into them." The random Rams fan followed it by "You're not Sergio are you?" I said "Sergey, yeah...what's up?" Well it turns out it's none other than Crazy Mike, the only other TSTer from Alaska. We talked for a while about the Rams, TST and our mutual hatred for Spags, among other things.
How weird, I've ran into 2 guys from this site in 2 days in 2 different states.
Go Rams!

Woo! Finally got to meet Benny last night!
Rams @ Seahawks: First hand experience
This is the second year in a row that I got a chance to go to a Rams game. Last year I went to a game in St. Louis when the Rams played the Chiefs. This year, for some stupid reason, I decided to go to an away game in Seattle. The actual reason was because I know a guy with season tickets to the Hawk games and he hooked me up.

Who's going to the MNF game in Seattle?!
Some of you know, I'm at work right now, but right after my stint is done, I'm flying down to Seattle for the MNF game (possibly the last MNF game the Rams will have for the next 10 years). Hell, maybe Brandstater will light up the seachickens. I got some friends that live there, so we'll be tailgating from 10 am until well after the game. I wanna know how many people on TST are actually going, maybe grab a beer before the game, or twelve.
Albert Haynesworth released by the Pats
The Patriots released veteran defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth just two days after he was apparently benched and had a sideline confrontation with an assistant coach.
Even the Pats can't control that player.
Crazy Mike, where were you at?
I was at the Peanut Farm, drinking, and after all, pissed off at the outcome, and how it ended. Never met up with you. Where were you at?
Read the title...I guess. Oh yeah, f*** this season.
Just saw this commercial for the first time, Benny Beaver ESPN commercial
So remember making fun of the FO for drafting/signing gymnasts and cheerleaders?!
Well, we freakin' signed a cheerleader or as he prefers "stuntman".
There you go, those jokes we were making during the draft and throughout this miserable season - well, they're not really jokes, but a reality.
Quinn Porter, "stuntman".
DuhhhRams! Check this out.
I saw this and because you're such a big 49ers fan, I figured you'd get a kick out of it.
Lance Mitchell and Clayton York are Pac-12 Players of the Week
Win a game and players get rewarded. Congrats to Lance and Clayton!
Mitchell, a senior from Pasadena, Calif., made seven tackles, including five solo tackles, and posted his sixth career interception in Oregon State’s first win of the season, a 37-27 victory over Arizona. In addition, he recorded a fumble recovery and a pass breakup. Mitchell also made a 13-yard reception for a first down on a fake punt.
York, a junior from Redmond, Ore., not only blocked his first punt, he returned it 41 yards for a touchdown to give the Beavers a 14-0 lead. It was Oregon State’s first blocked punt for a touchdown since 2008 against Washington State. A walk-on, York also made one tackle on special teams.
Also Nominated (Offense): Brock Osweiler, QB, ASU; Keenan Allen, WR, CAL; Sean Mannion, QB, OSU; Andrew Luck, QB, STAN; Nelson Rosario, WR, UCLA.
Well, we have this going for the Beavs
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - OREGON STATE junior forward Emery Welshman was named Bank of the West Pac-12 Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 27-October 3, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.
With the football team sucking seemingly more and more; maybe we should concentrate on soccer more. Congrats to Emery!
Sam Bradford is a nice guy - what else is new?!
There he goes again, showing everyone that he's a great guy. Doesn't get in trouble, plays ping-pong, buys TVs for his O-line, replies to graduation announcements, signs a young lady's poster after a pre-season game, hell, he probably even knows some magic tricks or rides a unicycle. Maybe soon some other teams' fans will appreciate Sam Bradford a bit more - nah, doubt it, they're just jealous!
2011 Season Preview: The Oregon State Beavers And The Quality To Respect Ratio
Pretty good read, lots of data and graphcs and quotes like
"Oregon State typically earns plaudits for their fearless scheduling, but do the rewards exceed the risk? With one fewer Rodgers brother, problematic defensive depth and another tough slate, the Beavers might be looking at another year with a "Best (Insert Mediocre Record Here) Team In The Country" title."
"By the way, this year the Beavers' non-conference schedule lightens up. They only have to host BYU and visit Wisconsin. Slackers."
Rams won't' win the NFC West?
According to some predictor machine, the Packers will play the Chargers in the SuperBowl - and the Rams won't win the NFC West, because the Cardinals will.
Really? Ok.
More smokescreens? It's getting annoying
I haven't really had extensive internet, but just saw this article on Yahoo!
"St. Louis, Jacksonville, not extensively, certainly Oakland, San Diego, Minnesota are still in the mix," Leiweke told reporter Scott M. Reed, when asked which franchises AEG had been talking to. Leiweke then added: "We're not packing any [moving] vans right now."
Sergey's Thoughts: My First Beavers' Game
As promised, I have put together a small story for my first trip to Eugene and my first live Beavers event, in any sport (I KNOW!) I did not get to go to the Sunday game against the Ducks due to some schedule conflicts; however, I at least got to go to 2 games. The Beavers lost back-to-back games with the exact same score, 4-1, against the hated Ducks. Even though the outcome was way below satisfying, I had a good time. Pictures and a small write-up after the jump.
Note: I won't go into the box scores or breakdowns, cause I was too busy yelling, drinking beer and talking smack with the ducks fans. If you want a game breakdown go here.

So I had a graduation announcement left over, and figured what the hell, I'll send one to Sam Bradford. He responded! On the envelope it said that it was postmarked through Oklahoma City. It's a generic letter, except the end, where he congratulated me. Either way, it's awesome that he/his secretary did that. I'm impressed. Go Rams!!

A Beaver getting the cold shoulder
It's just not sitting right with me. I tweeted James Dockery if the St. Louis Rams have contacted him prior to the NFL Draft, he responded with "unfortunately they called and said they were going to draft me and never did". I love the Rams and everyone knows that I love the Beavers, so getting this is a shock to me. I just wanted to bring it out to the Beavers' fan base. There must have been other things impacting the Rams' decision.
So I'm really bummed about the Rams
I tweeted James Dockery and asked if he has talked to the Rams prior to the draft, and he replies with "unfortunately they called and said they were going to draft me and never did".
I'm not only bummed about the fact that an OSU Beaver didn't get drafted by the Rams (y'all know my feeling towards Quizz), but mainly that they snubbed him that way, you don't tell a player that he's drafted, and then don't. I don't know what exactly went down, maybe a guy fell down that they really wanted?! What do you guys think?
I really hope that they sign him, I've watched him play in college and this guy is great, not top of the depth chart, but he's a guy that does his job.
Benny Beaver will be featured in a College Gameday commercial
Fans had a chance to vote for a mascot to be featured in a College Gameday commercial. Benny Beaver came out on top with 39% of the vote (over 44,000 votes) , Super Frog (TCU) - 27% Herbie Husker (Nebraska) - 21%, Cocky (South Carolina) - 12%, Sebastian the Ibis (Miami) - 1%.
Results can be seen here.
2011 Draftees: From Freshman to First Round Picks
Just an article I saw on Yahoo! showing the transformation of players from the time they were freshmen to the time they were drafted by an NFL team. There's a table showing the recruiting weight and the draft weight. Julio Jones and Jon Baldwin both actually lost weight. Nick Fairley, Nate Solder and JJ Watt put on the most weight at +57 +65 and +65 respectively (maybe they just ate a lot?)
I just have a question, how much, if any, did these guys grow. Because between end of my senior year of high school and senior year of college, I believe I put on about 60 lbs and 6 inches of height.
Yet another guy giving out draft grades
Jason Cole from Yahoo! Sports dished out grades according to his opinion.
Grade: A
Analysis: "While there are medical concerns about Quinn, he was a great value at No. 14 overall and gives the Rams another speed rusher who should also help DE Chris Long(notes). The really sound moves came in the second, third and fourth rounds when the Rams got Kendricks, Pettis and Salas. This is what a team should do when it drafts a quarterback at No. 1 overall; get him support right away. All three of those players should help QB Sam Bradford(notes), who did a great job of making the most out of very little around him last season. In fact, the Rams were so mediocre last season that Kendricks, Pettis and Salas could easily end up on the field at least 60 percent of the time this season if they’re just OK."
Note: If you go to the Atlanta Falcons' analysis, Cole says: "The selection of Rodgers in the fifth round could be one of the steals of the draft." Does everyone know how I feel about that trade? ....Ok, good!
