Looks like Kentucky is out of the running for Robert Carter

Willie Cauley has committed to Kentucky. Willie happens to be the #6 ranked center on rivals.com and should help keep Maryland in the running for Robert Carter, who as you may know is kind of a big deal. Luckily Kentucky is also certainly the highest-paying potential $uitor for power forwards so one could begin to like our chances with Bino and Dalonte running point on 2012 recruits.
If Mitch McGary was to end up at Florida, that would knock the Gators off Carter's list in theory as well.

With football season coming up soon, I was looking to upgrade my season tickets. We had four uppers last year around the 50, and it really wasn't bad. But it would be good to be closer to the field too.

A lot of people get mad at Gary and staff for missing out on five-star recruits that are probably collecting cash from boosters or AAU "coaches" or are probably more trouble than they are worth. I don't. However there have been some notable, very gettable guys that the staff never got turned down on because they never thought to offer, some of whom may have really helped this year's team and teams of future years.
This makes the upcoming football games versus Texas that much more interesting

I am sad to see Coach Friedgen go. He made Maryland football fun to watch again, and I missed probably ten games max during the "Ralph years". I'm really going to miss seeing that big guy down on the sideline. You could tell he poured his soul into his coaching, just like Gary Williams. Those are the guys you root for in life.
