I was born in 1955. I played organized soccer, basketball and baseball since age 8. All star in all 3 sports in high school. Scouted for baseball while in high school. Attended several big league tryouts and invited to workout for Montreal Expos at Jarry Park in 1973. Entered college, walk on for basketball. To disinterested to study and enlisted in US Marine Corps in 1974. Returned to college after honorably discharged and finished college career. By then I was too old to be seriously considered for pro baseball. Played fast pitch softball in four decades....70's, 80's, 90's and 2000s. Retired three years ago at age 51. Have coached youth baseball, softball and basketball. Managed fast pitch softball teams. Grew up a New York sports fan. Rooted for the Yankees in the losing seasons.....still have to root for them now......even though I'm not thrilled with the money spent.
