Graduated from Bama in 93 during the excitement of a National Championship with fond memories of Gene Stallings, Jay Barker, and winning in tow. Now living in Kentucky, these Basketball freaks have no clue what a Fall Saturday in T-town is all about. So I have to find my Bama comraderie online.

Roll 'Bama Roll Who uses "Roll Tide" as a salutation?

I am always frustrated at the response I get from people who wear Bama gear or have stickers or plates on their vehicle and will not respond to an enthusiastic "Roll Tide." Yesterday at a rest stop in North Carolina I got a "I heard that" even worse often I just get a look like I'm from Mars-not Alabama. While at Bama from88-93, one of the fond memories of game day was losing my voice from screaming "Roll Tide" all day. Fellow Roll Tide revelers were always quick to respond in kind. The one phrase that Bama fans globally should recognize and respond to is "Roll Tide." Living in Kentucky does not afford me many opportunites to go to games, but on the rare occaisions that I have gone and received the same reception in T-town --I have wondered if the past less than enthusiastic decade has led fans to be less than enthusiastic in sharing this sacred salutation. Is this the reason or am I missing something?--And don't say "Amen"--It better be a "Roll Tide!"
