The Niners are really giving it to the Cards who can't seem to hold onto the ball. The Cards turned the ball over 5 times in the first half, leading to the Niners 17-0 lead at the half.

This is your 2nd half open thread.

Monday "Practice Estimation"

Thursday night game means that to comply with the leagues requirement of 3 injury reports teams need to give a "Practice Estimation" on Monday, reporting which players they'd expect to hold out of practice if they were conducting a practice today. As you'd expect for the day after a game, the lists are long. Really it's more telling to look at who isn't listed. In the Colts case that list is actually shorter and we'll start with that.

Players Not Listed (count on them playing)

Curtis Painter, Mike Hart, Jacob Tamme, Gijon Robinson, Dallas Clark, Austin Collie, Hank Baskett, Micheal Toudoze, Mike Pollak, Jeff Saturday, Ryan Lilja, Antonio Johnson, Fili Moala, Erwin Baldwin, Philip Wheeler, Freddy Keiaho, Ramon Humber, Cody Glenn, T.J. Rushing, Jaime Silva, Devon Hall, Justin Snow, Pat McAfee, Matt Stover

Players that would've rested (likely playing)

Dwight Freeney, Antoine Bethea

The Injured (who knows?)

Joseph Addai (knee), Gary Brackett (foot), Raheem Brock (back), Donald Brown (chest), Melvin Bullitt (shoulder), Keyunta Dawson (knee), Kyle DeVan (shin), Ryan Diem (hamstring), Eric Foster (back), Aaron Francisco (ankle), Pierre Garçon (knee), Anthony Gonzalez (knee), Kelvin Hayden (knee), Tim Jennings (ankle), Charlie Johnson (foot), Jacob Lacey (Biceps), Peyton Manning (glute), Robert Mathis (quad), Daniel Muir (hamstring), Jerraud Powers (Hamstring), Jamey Richard (Shoulder), Tom Santi (hand), Clint Session (calf), Chad Simpson (back), Tony Ugoh (hip), Adam Vinatieri (knee), Reggie Wayne (foot).

Your early results

Mini-Recap

The Colts D has arrived. The Colts O fired out strong going up 21-0 midway through the 2nd quarter with 3 TDs on 4 drives. After that the Colts O went on hiatus gaining just 29 yards on 7 drives over the next 2 quarters before a 80 yards TD drive that iced the game.

While the Colts O was M.I.A. the D held the Broncos to just 16 points, despite secondary injuries forcing a badly overmatched Tim Jennings to cover Brandon Marshall (who caught an NFL record 21 passes for 200 yards and 2 TDs). This D is for real. The D held on for the win despite a total lack of offense for much of the game.

Titans-Rams, Redskins-Raiders and Chargers-Cowboys are the late games. Chat away.

The Steelers death spiral continues, trailing the Cleveland Browns by 10 at the half.

The Steelers will have 30 minutes to reclaim a shred of respectability. Talk about their progress (or just about anything else) here.

Wednesday Colts Injury Report

10 players sat out today, 8 with injuries. Charlie Johnson, Anthony Gonzalez, Donald Brown, Aaron Francisco and Adam Vinatieri remain out and were joined by defensive starters Robert Mathis (quad) and Clint Session (calf) along with Tony Ugoh (hip), making the reason for the move to sign Toudouze clear. Antoine Bethea and Dwight Freeney got the day off.

Notable return by Keyunta Dawson, back after missing several weeks with a knee injury. With Mathis hurt Dawson's return adds much needed depth.

Injured but Full Participation: Gary Brackett (foot), Melvin Bullitt (shoulder), Keyunta Dawson (knee), Kyle DeVan (shin), Kelvin Hayden (knee), Tim Jennings (ankle), Peyton Manning (glute), Jamey Richard (shoulder), Tom Santi (hand), Reggie Wayne (foot).

One last off topic note.     Not a fan of Clint's neckbeard, maybe it's in honor of Orton or something.

21-10 Cardinals! at the half. The Favre's are in serious danger of falling off the Saints pace. What a difference Kurt Warner makes to the Cards.
