Apparently there is a professional basketball team in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and they just signed former Orangeman Matt Gorman to the roster. Of course Scranton was annexed by the Otto-Man Empire many moons ago, so he should have plenty of support down there.

As if Sean didn't have a big enough ego (I keed, I keed), he is featured, along with his upcoming course in Syracuse University's iSchool on blogging and social media, on the ABC News website. Congrats to our fearless leader and I hope the course exceeds everyone's already high expectations!

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician A Couple Memorabilia Entries

I came across a couple of different items I have at home that I thought are interesting/unique. The first actually belongs to my father. It is a class of 1972 beanie that all Freshman had to wear when they were attending SU:

The second is a collection of SU pins from the 1992-93 season. I can recall where they came from (whether it was SU that handed them out or a local business), but I do recall collecting them all. I know I have more of them, but couldn't find all of them, so here is what I have.

If I come across anything else that we have laying around the house in the next week or so, I'll be sure to post it.

....but really Max??? Really??? I'd rather gouge my eyes out than work for any of the psycho trash that was on those shows.

This lovely 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home in the Miami suburb of Weston can be yours for a mere $1.4 million. He must be making pretty good money in the NFL by the way. He used to live in my neighborhood in Syracuse and his house here cost about 1/5 of that one and was about half the size.

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician Louie McCroskey Filling the Gym??

In what was originally shaping up as an already exciting Elmira Bulldogs season opener has just taken a even more sudden twist. Game rosters for Saturday were due to the league office by 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. A last minute addition to the game roster for the visiting Hudson Valley Hype is former Syracuse University star player Louie McCroskey....

..."We had no idea a former Syracuse University star was going to be on the Hudson Valley Hype roster," stated bulldogs head coach and general manager James R. Schutz. "This game has taken a whole new meaning, and with all the Syracuse University fans in the area, I hope fans show up early enough so they can get a seat before they are all gone."

Umm, so when did Louis McCroskey become a star player at SU. Last I remembered, he was a headcase who couldn't shoot and seemed to dribble the ball off his leg/foot more than any player I've ever seen. All I know is that you better show up early for this one, because Louie is filling up the gym for the Elmira Bulldogs season opener.

Nice article on Steve Gregory from the San Diego Union Tribune. Good to see a former Cuse guy doing well for himself.

vegasinsider.com has listed the over/under for win totals for the 2009/10 college football season. Syracuse's over/under is at 3.5 wins. Not bad I guess, considering the circumstances. The highest Big East team on the list is West Virginia at 8.5 wins.

Looks like Jonny is the guy in Minnesota next year, for now at least. The team traded away Sebastian Telfair, it's only veteran pg, leaving them with just two pg's on the roster right now. It would appear like Flynn would be the starter as of right now, but we'll have to see how the situation with Rubio plays out and whether or not the TWolves make any more moves before the season begins.
