MLB.COM's Jonathon Mayo Updated His Draft List to 100

19

Mayo has expanded his rankings from 50 to 100, and it appears he has added video for each prospect. The descriptions are from the beginning of the year, so some are a little stale. I think this is a great resource in a one stop shopping way - there are 30 second videos, brief bios and write up, and most importantly its all in one place. If you are interested in the draft but don't want to get obsessed and go down the time suck hole, this is the joint for you. Mayo doesn't update often, this is most likely it until the draft.

BA International Signings Summary Chart

21

From the article: The numbers aren't a ranking of which teams have done the best job at international scouting or which ones have spent their money the most efficiently, but in general, the teams that have been the most productive internationally the last five to seven years tend to rise to the top. The GIants have 7 players, notably the Venezuelan prospects Francisco Peguero, Ehire Adrianza and Hector Sanchez. They are ranked in the middle of the pack, below the aggressive teams such as Texas and Detroit, and way above the misers such as Los Angeles and Arizona.
