Ponder loses a target in Harvin (apparently he didn't believe in CP7 anyway), and the 49ers make the offseason trade of the year picking up Boldin. Two former Noles are going to be stars in SF, love it!
According to FSU assistant coach Mike Martin Jr., the second-year Seminole has a broken pelvis, broken hips, broken ribs and a broken bone in his back. When he is released from the hospital, he’ll likely have to be in a wheelchair for at least two to three months. "They think he’s going to be able to walk," Martin Jr. said. "They’re pretty confident as far as walking. He’ll probably never play baseball again, which is irrelevant right now."
Congrats to Ronald Darby! And Duke Johnson for that matter. That kid is the real deal.
Any doubt now who runs that town? Clem$on.
Laughable. UM is one year away from beating FSU? Hahahahaha.
Boyd took the money and ran, so he won't be coming back for his senior season. Expected, but it still hurts. Also, congrats to James Ramsey on signing with the Cardinals for $1.6 million! Couldn't have happened to a better person. http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_college_fsu/2012/06/report-former-fsu-player-james-ramsey-cardinals-agree-to-deal.html
Former West Virginia football coach Bill Stewart died Monday of what athletic department officials said was an apparent heart attack.
Egads. What a terrible decision.
"After the current BCS contract runs its course, it looks like college football will go to a final-four format, with four conference champions playing semifinal games at one of the participating teams' home stadiums. That will be followed by a national championship game on or about New Years Day to be held at a neutral location."
He wants to be a 'Nole and to be part of something special at Florida State. "My recruiting is finally over its official I'm a NOLE!!!," said Edwards via Facebook.
Bobby Bowden coaching the North. 6 former Seminoles playing. Noles on the North Roster: Ty Jones Jabaris Little Bert Reed Terrance Parks Jermaine Thomas Noles on the South: Beau Reliford

Jimmy Everett, one of Tallahassee's favorite sports figures, lost his battle with ALS and died at the age of 57. Everett was an assistant principal and athletic director at Lincoln High School. He was diagnosed with ALS in late 2009 and brought his battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease to the public eye as his son pitched for the FSU Seminoles. Everett was often seen at Dick Howser Stadium where he watched son Tyler pitch for the Florida State baseball team. Last season, he even threw the first pitch to his son. RIP Jimmy, you will be missed.
Boise State is coming to Atlanta for season-opening games in 2011 and 2014, including next season's opener against Georgia in the Georgia Dome. The 2011 game will be the first that does not match a Southeastern Conference team against an Atlantic Coast Conference team. (Georgia athletic director Greg) McGarity said the offer to play Boise State in Atlanta, about 90 miles from Athens, "was too good an opportunity to turn down." "We thought with the opportunity to take a No. 4 BCS-ranked Boise State with the University of Georgia, we've got two powerful nationally known football brands," (Chick-fil-A Bowl president Gary) Stokan said. "It is my belief Georgia will be nationally ranked next year, along with Boise. It is our mission is to put the best game together on the opening weekend of football." It's a lose/lose situation for UGA, and a loss for the ACC as well. Just how desperate are UGA and Mark Richt? Is the ACC getting the shaft? Discuss.

Thanks to his veteran teammates. Makes you wonder what they think about him.. I apologize in advance if the thread title offends anyone, I just thought this would help lighten the mood a little after the news about Fortson.
