I'm a disabled vet that has returned to college under the VA/Rehab umbrella. I'm currently at a local community college and will transfer to IOWA for the Fall '09 term. I'm NOT the usual college student, I have a couple of grandchildren and I'm a card carrying member of AARP. I like to think I'm on my fourth of nine lives. First life was growing up with the family. Second life was my time in the military, 14 years. Third life was back in the private sector as a union tile-setter until said disability knocked me on my ass. And now I'm on my fourth life as a 51 year old college student.
