Scott Howard-Cooper's Recent Thought's on DeMarcus Cousins
Fifth paragraph down. Is this how the national media views DeMarcus or is this just Scott? I just don't see what they are seeing I guess.
"Doesn't look good. Looking at December or January."
Donte Greene after running into him at the airport tonight about whether the Kings are having a season. Can we say 1999 magic anyone?
Seat Locations
Whats up everyone! I just wanted to see where you all are at tonight. I will be in Section 221 doing my best to get people involved in the chants. I couldn't print any flyers so I will be talking directly with people. Anyone else sitting in Section 221? I also wanted to know where everyone is at so I can synchronize the chants with surrounding sections and wanted to make sure there was some Here We Stay people nearby. Looking forward to tonight ladies and gentlemen!
Remembering 9/11
Although this is not a basketball related post, I wanted to reflect on 9/11. This is not a political post, and I ask you not to make any political comments, but rather comment on where you were that day and what your thoughts were as you lived that moment in your life. My thoughts after the jump.

Why I Love And Miss Ron Artest
Nothing needs to be said about this one. I love the man.
Question for Sactownroyalters...
</startrant> How can a player who averaged 20-5-5 last year, earned rookie of the year honors, and overall provided some memorable games against top flight teams last year not garner more national attention in the form of more games televised nationally? Does his 20-5-5 not mean as much as say Magic or King? It just surprises me that only 3 games will be on nationally while the Clippers are on for 12 and the Warriors are on for 6. Am I crazy for thinking this? I understand we only won 25 games last year and we are not a great team yet, but I figure we should at least get more than 3 games nationally having a ROY and Boogie waiting in the wings to take the award. Just my two cents. I am fine with watching the games locally, but I just thought the Kings would get more pub </endrant>.

Team USA Update
Chris Sheridan shares his thoughts on team USA, including a NaPG on the bubble.
Calling out Insider subscribers
Can someone post what David Thorpe said about who will be the best player to come out of this year's rookie class? It is up on ESPN's NBA page right now, but I do not subscribe to Insider. I just want to know where Tyreke stands and who he thinks will be the best out of this class. If you don't want to answer this question because of ethical principles (posting a pay service article), then I understand. I just didn't want to pay $7.00 just to look at one article. Thanks!
"I'm afraid that the ROY race will be closer than you think for Reke. Blame Curry's second-half numbers and his popularity/stature and Jennings' quality contributions to a playoff-bound team despite his statistical decline."
A look back in time...
Now that the season is winding down, I wanted to do a search on what people where predicting would happen with the rookies coming into the league. So I jumped over to google and typed in "rookie of the year 2010" and I caught a link to the bleacher report's website/blog. Some interesting predictions were made, and as you read through it, you will notice something missing. Have fun! Here is the link: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/207992-projecting-next-years-nba-rookies
Looking forward to next year!

Let me calm everyone down...
Let me be the first to calm everyone down. Tyreke Evans will still win ROY even if he is out for the season, as there are only 14 or so games left, and Jennings nor Curry can overtake the entire year's work of Tyreke Evans, period. It won't be even close in the vote. As Kobe has already stated: "Curry is a phenomenal player, but Tyreke is a grown ass man." A man among boys in the ROY race ladies and gentlemen. Man among boys. Thank you.
Tyreke...the ballhog??
I would like to inquire what the best fans in basketball think about this western conference scout's take about the rookie of the year race. My thoughts after the jump:
"[Tyreke] Evans is going to win it and [Brandon] Jennings was up there early, but [Steph] Curry is going to wind up being the best player of the three. He's the ray of hope in Golden State because he's got the shots, he's got the moves, he's marketable and he's only going to get better. And I think his teammates like playing with him. He's a great shooter, obviously, but he's unselfish. He's looking to get other guys involved.
"Evans is obviously a talent, too, but my instinct is that not everybody likes playing with him because he dominates the ball so much. He's more of a point forward than he is a point guard. ... You can argue that [Curry's] numbers are inflated playing in Golden State's system, but you could have said that about a lot of rookies over the years. Most of the top rookies are on bad teams. Rookies of the year aren't coming from the Lakers. The issue is what the Warriors are going to do with [Monta] Ellis, because it's obvious that that team needs to be built around Curry, and Curry defers too much when Ellis is in there."
Hollinger Power Rankings
I just peeped Hollinger's new power rankings. Finally there is some proof that his number crunching is faulty. He has the Hornets, Warriors, and Bobcats ranked HIGHER than the Kings right now. The Kings continue to not get proper respect nationally, and I can't wait for the national media to eat crow! You can't tell me the Hornets, Warriors, or Bobcats are playing better basketball right now than the Kings, so I say poo poo on you Hollinger!
