Look swisher was one of my favorite players too. Either way, in the last few years, I along with the rest of baseball have found out that he needs protection (big hurt) in the lineup to be effective. And like crosby he has problems recoginzing breaking pitches. Am i sad to see him go? Yeah.. but I am equally excited to see what we got in return. If I have learned anything about the A's it's to not get attached to any one player. And trade people when their value is highest. I dont think swishers going to put up much better numbers so his value will never be higher than now. Same with Haren, Hudson and Mulder.  Now hopefully at the trade deadline we can trade away anyone over 26 (besides ellis) who is having a decent year.
