All the Bull#$%t and Negativity
All the negativity and bullshit is really getting annoying. People bitching constantly about screwups and saying how our team sucks. There is literally four or five fanposts about the shittyness of this team. What did everyone expect? We were a 4-12 team coming into this year. We have a new GM, Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, Quarterback, Defensive scheme etc. Basically our entire team is all new this year. You can't expect this team to gel and all of a sudden become playoff contenders. No matter what the Shanahan or any of you want to say this team is in rebuild mode. It's going to be a few years before were a competitive team week in and week out. We can't keep switching coaches every few years because the guy hasn't fixed a completely shit team. I give shanahan three years. If we don't see at least a playoff appearance by then than maybe something's not right. But, for now we have to learn to deal with these kinds of losses. Why build yourself up to think your going to blow a team like the Lions out when history shows we lose these kind of games. We have to take the young players we have now and build around them.

Game thread Monday Night
Giants are going to jerry's playhouse to beat the cowgirls. Feel free to comment on the game below. Kevin nor Ken made a game thread for us to chat so I figured I'd make one on here. You need 75 words to make a fanpost so that's why I'm making this long. I never noticed how difficult it was to think of 75 random words, or how long 75 words was for that matter.
Pros and cons of tonights game
Just wanted to take a look at some of the Pros and cons tonight. Look at who had a decent game and who played pretty bad.
Charles Brown
I've looke over the selections twice and can't see Charles Brown's name up there. Did I miss him getting drafted? Or is he still here. I find it hard to believe that he's still floating around. Can someone let me know if he was drafted or not? I wonder what it would take to get into the third round right now. It's almost over. So maybe the top of the fourth round. I would love to get two tackles this draft.
My view on this talk about playmakers
I'm going to attempt to point out a few reasons why LJP is wrong about needing playmakers. Also, why we may already have playmakers on our team that just need a chance.
1. Offensive Line troubles
Our offensive line was garbage this year and we all know this. It's hard to get a big play when JC has .2 seconds to throw the ball. Now I know LJP is going to say, "Playmakers can catch short passes and make big plays out of them." That may be true, but the defense knows that we aren't going to be able to have succesful big plays or successful running. So they can play the pass well. It's hard for a WR to catch a ball and make multiple people miss if he has four or five people within 10 yds of him as soon as he gets it. And as far as running goes the few runs we did make past the line of scrimmage we had LBs, Safties, and CB right there because the line can't get to the second level.
2. Coaching
A good chunk of big plays made by playmakers come from misconception. We didn't have an able coaching staff to create valid plays that would confuse defenses on a consistent basis. If you are only able to run 1/3 of your playbook defense know this and prepare. So when they see us line up they know the ball is probably a short pass to Moss or Cooley or anyone you want to fill in. They prepare for this and are ready to wrap up and bring down the ball carrier as soon as he get's the ball in his hands.
3. Inexperience
Our players like DT, Kelly, Mitchell, and Davis are still young and learning. Give them a good coaching staff that can teach them how to play better and they'll develop into playmakers.
4. Our past woes
If I remember correctly the past decade has been spent chasing big name FA's and spending a lot of money on them looking for playmakers. It hasn't worked in the past so why will that change now? We need to draft our needs and get our line fixed and start making progress. Then we can spend low draft picks on fast players with some potential. We can train these players and try to groom them into playmakers.
This is my first fanpost so don't be too harsh. Let me know what you think and feel free to add in anything I may have missed.
