Trailer for "The Franchise: A Season with the San Francisco Giants"
This looks amazing, that's all I can say. I cant wait to watch the whole thing.
LA Times Article: Dodgers can't ignore safety issue
I thought this was a interesting and well written piece. I believe this is a fairly serious issue.
Lincecum was in S.I this week
I opened the weekly edition of Sports Illistrated this week to see the wonderful suprise that the enchanter was in there
most specifically the "pop culture grid"
this is where they ask about 3 players certain questions about pop culture (obviosly) and some other random tidbits
one of the questions asked was "what was the wierdest thing a fan has ever said to you"
and lincecum replied "that i looked smaller than a bat"
this doesnt make any sense, any general comparison would show that a bat is much bigger than lincecum, maybe even twice as big
another interesting side note, he also admitted that he has "never been to a concert"
personally, i think this means the guy needs to get out more, give his arm a break. Something tells me he had a very baseball centered childhood
Is game on TV today?(in fresno)
it doesnt say it is in the paper, but is there any chance it will be on like comcast sports net plus if anyone knows
Someone told me it is on NBC, but for some reason it doesnt show up on NBC in fresno, any help is appreciated, the reason for asking this question i was wanted to see Harold and Kumar tonight, but if the games on, i can wait a day for the movie
Not that you guys care or anything, but im just going to stop watching the first 8 innings of giants games
Honestly, its 2 and a half hours of just Ks and double plays,Snooooore
I mean its the later innings when all the excitement starts happening, like when the base runners get on, and the when the giants get extra base hits, its quite astonishing really
Also, the giants havent scored more than 4 runs once this year correct?
How pathetic is that, and they have 3 wins also, wow, just wow, how do these pitchers pitch with the thought of giving up just one run will pretty much eliminate the chance for a win, so kudos to them
SI cover story about Giants fans
Well, kind of, its about San Francisco's opinion on Bonds. At first glance i did the usual "ANOTHER story about barry bonds!! I am so tired of this crap every...single...other...day..and so on" when i first picked it up (as Bonds was on the cover). When i read the article though, I thought it kind of gave a good connotation about Giants fans. Did anyone else happen to read this and agree with the author's opinion on the city. The whole article I thought was trying to defend the city of national opinion that Giants's fans are mutant devil creatures who cheer blantantly for Bonds even though he takes steroids everyday. I thought it was pretty good. So how did everyone else feel about it as i dont live in the city so i would not know if this article is true or not.
Jemele Hill is an idiot
He wrote an article on ESPN Page 2 asking god to not let Barry break the record,
I do not get why everyone automatically asumes Barry took steroids. In my opinion you cant, he never tested positive. 100s of other Pro Baseballers in the minors and the Major Leagues have tested positive, even when they knew their was a penalty.
Thanks EPSN for fueling even more hatred against bonds, something we need so much more of.
Maybe I am wrong, and it is just my instinct to defend him. Either way, this guy is an idiot
