matt bonner is the greatest PF of all time...
as taco trey kerby so eloquently puts it:
"Matt Bonner had more points than Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan combined. By the transitive property, this makes him the best power forward of all-time"
manu is the tebow of the nba...according to george karl
huh...well there you go.
the lockout is over...?
NEW YORK (AP) -- A person familiar with the deal says NBA owners and players have reached a tentative agreement to end the lockout.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity Saturday because the agreement has not yet been announced.
After a secret meeting earlier this week, the sides met for more than 15 hours Friday, working to try to save the season. Under the deal, a 66-game season would begin on Christmas.
This handshake deal still must be ratified by both owners and players.
Season Leftovers: After timeout sets
i remember this play.....and i remember basketball........stupid lockout.
TBJ LA: Scent of an All-Star
the jones ask players what the name of their scent would be, ala lamar and khloe's unbreakable. pop gets asked right at the end, and answers as we would expect him to...
Have Ball, Will Travel: Manu Ginobili

Don Nelson: Almost coached Larry Bird, Tim Duncan
nellie...as coach of the spurs?
poll: (not so) great expectations
after watching (only) the 4th quarter of the kings game (thanks for that league pass!), and now the portland game, i started wondering what my expectations are now for the spurs for the remainder of the season. i'm sure we're all disappointed with how things have gone so far, and maybe they'll suddenly pull their finger out and figure it all out, but i'm starting to have a bad feeling about it all.
so, given that, what are your expectations for the rest of the season? what do you feel is a realistic result now? when the season started i wasn't as confident as some around these parts (i've never really rated jefferson), but i did think if the guys gelled we could challenge the lakers for best in the west. to my mind thats now impossible - if we haven't gotten it going by now, i don't see it happening with the team as currently constructed (rodeo trip or no rodeo trip). i also don't see a silver bullet out there to fix this via a trade - its the defense where we're suffering, and no single trade is really going to fix that. to my mind, we're heading for a low seeding and a first round exit. 50 wins? maybe....maybe. but who cares in that case?
what say you?
Hornets pushing all the wrong buttons with Paul
there was a bit of an animated discussion in the (first) thunder game thread about chris paul's role in the firing of byron scott, and well...i don't like to say "i told you so"......
my first wallpaper (sort of)
having too much time on my hands, i thought i'd give this wallpaper thing a shot. i don't really know what i'm doing, i've only played around in image editing software before, i'm a bit drunk, and i don't have photoshop. so given that...here's my first real attempt at a spurs wallpaper...

tony parker gets his own shoe...wait, what?
yes, ptr's favourite frenchman, mr eva longoria, is getting his own signature shoe from nike. well, sort of getting his own signature shoe, seeing as its an updated version of a gary payton sneaker from the 90s, but hey, its the thought that counts right?
while i don't think they look particularly great, they'd probably perform well on the court. not that i'm planning on buying a pair...
