I know its just a rumor, but Okafor would fit well with the Mavs. Not sure who we could offer, but maybe Howard and Gooden (if Howard can ever get healthy). I'd say keep Damp's contract for something better though. I'm still holding out for Joe Johnson with that contract. Getting him would def make Howard expendable.

The Mavs unveiled their new alternate jerseys finally. I've been wanting to know what they were going to look like since they announced last year that it would be the end of the green. Ball Don't Lie on yahoo has a picture of Jason Terry sporting the new ones. They are pretty but I personally like the green better (granted I'm biased because I own a green one). What do you guys think?

Dirk's ex fiancee Cristal Taylor (or whatever her name is) is not pregnant. Yay for Dirk! I bet he's thrilled. The news is being reported on both Dallas Morning News and ESPN

The Minnesota Timberwolves signed Ryan Hollins to an offer sheet. I don't know how much or for how long, but it is probably doubtful the Mavs will match. I wish they would though, I like Hollins and I think he can contribute.

What do you guys think the Mavs should do? Keep Hollins or let him go? How much do you think he was offered?

I don't know about all of you guys out there, but I'm pretty sad that two centers I wouldn't have minded having on the Mavs are getting swapped for each other. I especially would have liked to have Okafor. I don't know why the Bobcats would do that trade, seems pretty dumb to me unless they are getting something else good back with Chandler. Anyway, you have to be an insider to read the article (which I'm not) but you can see the headline on the ESPN NBA homepage.

Hey guys. I just read this article about the USA basketball mini camp that I knew Granger was invited to attend. The article says he is going but not participating. Does anybody know why he is no longer participating? It would be really cool if he made it and got to play in the next Olympics. Here is the link to the article if anyone wants to see it. I'm glad to see Eric Gordon is going to be there. I'm an IU alumn so I always root for players from there.

It says there's a possibility of the Pacers working out a sign and trade with Boston, so maybe they can at least get something in return. What do you guys think we could get for him? need three words

 

Mavs are in talks to trade Stackhouse for Marion via a sign and trade. Not a bad thought assuming we don't have to give up much more than Stackhouse. It says we might have to sweeten the deal with cash or draft picks. What do you guys think of this? Assuming Orlando doesn't match and we sign Gortat, we'd still have Damp's contract to trade.

I was just in the Hollinger chat on ESPN and it appears the Magic and Nets are in talks. Nets will send Vince Carter to the Magic for Courtney Lee, Rafer Alston, and Tony Battie.  Man I wish the Mavs could get Lee...but I know that we have nothing to trade for him. The Magic are now gonna have Howard, Carter, Lewis, and Nelson...scary thought. I'm guessing Turkoglu prob won't be returning.

Dirk beat out Duncan for the All-NBA First Team. Congrats to him! He's on there with Kobe, Lebron, Howard, and Wade.

Second Team is Chris Paul, Duncan, Paul Pierce, Yao Ming, and Brandon Roy.

Third Team is Carmelo, Pau Gasol, Billups, Shaq, and Tony Parker.

Anyway, yay for Dirk! He definitely deserves it.

I have no idea if this is true or not, and I sort of doubt that it is because it doesn't really make a lot of sense, but I figured I'd post it anyway.

Don't really know why the Pacers would trade an expiring contract and a draft pick for a semi expiring contract...

I also have no idea what Big Hoopsters is, so its quite possible this was made up.

Looks like Jermaine O'Neal is moving again. He and Jamario Moon are going to Miami for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks. I know this really doesn't affect the Pacers, but since Jermaine is a former Pacer, I figured people might be interested. I hate that these things have to be 75 words long. Did I hit 75 words yet? Trade rumor sends Tinsley to the Bobcats for Raymond Felton. It'd be nice to move him before the trade deadline. Of course...do we really need three point guards? Will this mean another deal will be in the works?

Personally, I'd hate to see Foster go, and I hope Rush isn't the third player included in the deal, but I think getting rid of Tinsley will be worth it. What do you guys think?

My thought was something like this because Miami desperately wants a center, and a J-Ho for Marion swap doesn't appease that. Plus Miller is better than JO. What do you guys think?
