 Just saw a tweet from Jason La Confora saying Arizona is going to try to make a strong push to keep Dansby. this is an unforseen complication for the dolphins. AZ could be our toughest competition. No doubt he has a lot of friends there. im starting to doube whether this will happen or not. should be an interesting day today.

First, let me apologize to Matty I. I know this site is not for soliciting, and I would only do this in an extreme case such as this. also I tried to post this in a fanshot, but i dont know if anyone looks at those. I have 2 Club tix - Sec. 216 row 6. I cant use them. I wish I could, but there are no flights left under $1,000. (I live in Ohio) I've tried to sell these on ebay and craigslist, but with no luck so far. I thought since it was sold out people would jump on them, but with the economy in the toilet I guess people are hesitant. Anyway I am open to the best offer. It doesnt even have to be money! maybe you have something to trade? maybe if I come in 2009 for a game you can put me up in your house for the weekend? maybe you have some frequent flier miles you can trade. let me know if you are interested. As the playoffs are set to begin, I can help but think of the meaning of it all. For the Dolphins, we have a unique opportunity before us. You see, winning the Super Bowl this year for the Dolphins would be more than just winning the 43rd Super Bowl. Instaed, by winning the Super Bowl this year the Dolphins would go down as one of the greatest stories, not only in the NFL, but in all major sports for all time.

The word we’re hearing out of Davie, Fla., is that Pennington won’t have any need to acquaint himself with the QB openings throughout the league this offseason because he’s earned not just the assurance of another year in Miami but another year in the starter’s saddle

Another interesting tidbit from the story is the OC Heening's success likely means he will want to stay out of retirement longer.

I hate the Cowboys. I hate talking about the Cowboys. I hate thinking about the Cowboys. I hate how ESPN spends half their time talking about all the BS and dysfunction of the Cowboys while there is real stories about real teams out there. I do love seeing the Cowboys falling apart again though. I saw a blurb on PFT (or maybe it was ESPN) this morning about how TE J. Witten and TO exchanged heated words and the thought occurred to me that Jerry Jones loves TO so much that maybe he would usher Witten out of town to make TO happy. Maybe a well placed call by the Tuna or Ireland and we could bring in one of the top 5 TE in the league to Miami next year. I like Fasano, but Witten is premier.

Anyone watching Bengals Steelers. Im cheering for the Bengals. If we do win the AFC East obviously having the Steelers lose gives us a better shot at the #2 seed in the AFC. We have the advantange over the AFC West division winner since we have beat all the AFC West teams in contention for the division. Bengals lead 7-0 now. Hope it holds up. Hell I'll take a tie! speaking of which, chad johnson may have pulled his last stunt in Cincy today and got benched. could be on the fins next year. although i would much rather have Anquan.

Anyone looking to go in on some 2009 season tickets with me? I just put a deposit down. I'm looking for 1 or 2 people to share the cost, then we'll split up the tix. The fins have some attractive home games next year against the Bucs, Colts, and Saints. If the fins continue their uprising tix could become a hot item over the next 5 years. I'm sure we all remember this play. Ronnie bulldozin over Raiders' B.J. Ward for a TD! Definitley my second favorite play last year next to the Camarillo OT TD vs. Ravens, and one of my all time favorite Dolphins plays.

Yesterday's loss was a tough one for me. Going into it, I actually felt comfortable that we were going to win. It's been a long time since I had felt that way. Flacco had 1 TD and 7 interceptions going into the game, and Baltimore historically has had a putrid offense. Our defensive strength seemed to be run stopping. I thought the Wildcat would throw the Ravens off balance enough to put some points on the board.

Never did I imagine we would get dominated like that. Very depressing. I'm worried about how long this rebuilding project is going to take. even if we completely turnover the secondary with draft picks, its going to take them a while to get good.

I know this regime had done alot of good, and hindsight is 20/20 but bringing in Wilford and getting rid of M. Booker was a big mistake.

Anyway, yesterday's loss pretty much put the nail in the coffin for me as far as the possibility of making the playoffs. Of course, I will still watch every game, but I'm not sure what to think about now that I can't think about the playoffs.

My first reaction is happiness, although I do feel slightly guilty about being happy about it. I'm just so sick of the Patriots winning. I can't help but thinking about Brady's smug attitude in declaring his disbelief when Burress predicted that Pats would only score 17 against them in the SB. Seems like everything has gone downhill since then. Also, part of me feels like Marino lost a season to an ACL injury, so Brady should too. I know, I am a jerk.

seriously though, carpenter looked good in the TB game and if we can save some money, I'm all for it. As long as we never ever sign Vanderjerk I'm happy. Feely was somewhat overrated too. I'm still pissed about the Houston game last year where we punted instead of attempting the FG. If the dude cant make a 55 yrder, we need to get someone else.

 

It just occurred to me that we are now less than 3 weeks away from the 1st Dolphins preseason game. Aug 9 against T.B.

I've been a Dolphin Fan for about 20 years (Im 29 yrs old). I consider there to be 2 main Dolphin eras during that time. The Dan Marino era and the JT, Zach Thomas, Sam Madison, adn Patrick Surtain era. that era just ended.

The future of the Dolphins starts now. Who will step up?
