Looks like Chad is going for a new name next year. Hachi Go

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Johnson-Ochocinco-quot-Hachi-Go-quot-Chad-p?urn=nfl,207862

According to someone who watches his broadcasts at UStream -- which I might do someday if my television is stolen, there are no books left in the world, the rest of the internet dies and a sniper is perched outside ready to kill me the second I leave my home -- Chad Ochocinco plans on changing his name again.

He made the announcement on Sunday morning before the game against the Lions. This time, the new name will be "Hachi Go," which is Japanese for "Eight Five." From Glenn S. Moore at The Dugout Sports Show:

Kenny was Cut!

I just found out that Kenny was cut already. (You bastards) I was expecting it to happen but not before the first preseason game. I know there are some big Watson fans here but it was obvious that his play was a shell of what it used to be. Last year he barely saw the field even after the Chris Perry fiasco. IMO he didn't seem to pick up blitzes like he used to. I recall Lewis and Palmer saing that many of last years sack weren't due to the O-Line but TE, FB, and RB mistakes instead. If you remember he was also cut for one week last year then resigned. Hopefully we will make improvements with guys like Leonard and Vapakuna.

I think J.D. Runnells was cut too.

Does any one know if the pre-season games will be aired in Columbus yet. Not sure how many of you live there but I have not heard any anouncements made on Bengals.com like the've done in the past.

What I can't understand is how everyone is saying how great Philly's O-line will be with Andrews and Peters. As we've stated many times before, you can tell these people have never seen a Bengals game in their life. Andrews gave up 9.5 sacks and our line was garbage. SI is acting like they stole this guy from us. Didn't Peters give up like 11 or 12 sacks last year? These writers pick their favorite teams (which so happen to be the big market teams) and think that every move they make is genius but with all of the money that was spent, I can't see them being better off than they were with Runyan and Tra Thomas. However, unless our rookie gives up more than 9.5 sack next year, we will be improved.

Is anyone else starting to get worried about Simpson? It's starting to sound like he may be a bust. I'm really not as concerned with him breaking out this year due to our deep squad with Ocho, Coles, Henry, and Caldwell, but with only 2 WR spots left, he may not even make the team. Either Cosby or Chatman will stick around to return punts and I'm hearing that Freddie Brown looks good so far too. I would rather see them keep the 6 best on the roster but would hate to see a wasted 2nd round pick.

So Marvin was saying how it was their fault that they did not get Simpson involved last year to see what he could do. So when the draft came up they had no clue what they had in him. With the Bengals refusal to deal Chad, how do they expect him to get play time this year. Since he and Chad can both only play the X position, will he ride the bench again this year?

What do you think about using Fui Vapakuna as one of our RB's and keeping Jermi Johnson as our FB? This is what Baltimore did with L.McCoy and L. Neil last year. If we really want smashmouth football use Benson as the primary back, Fui as the short yardage / goalline back, and either Watson, Dorsey, or Scott, as the 3rd down back. With those guys running behind Andre Smith with a relativly healthy Jermi Johnson leading the way, it could be dangerous.

A lot of questions have poped up about how the O-Line will sort out with our new draft picks. My question is how will the defense look? D. Jones, while not a game changer, is a very smart, mistake free, defensive captain. How soon do we pull him and put in Rey M? I was hoping Jeanty would be the next LB to be replaced, not Jones. While Jeanty is a strong run stopper, he is not player that is feared. Can Rey play SAM backer? He and Rivers would be great on the outsides while Jones called the shots in the middle. We now also have 3 DE's that are labeled as 3rd down pass rushers. Rucker and Fenene are supposed to be our run stopping DE's but we now have Odom, Geathers and Johnson all as a pass rushing DE. Who plays 1st and 2nd down and who plays 3rd?

Revamped Running Game?

Over the last 2 years I've heard Marvin talk about needing to run the ball better. This off-season, they even said how dramatic the change would be going from a pass first team to one that relies on the run more than ever. So what happened? I understand not paying T.J. Larry Fitzgerald money but why bring in another older receiver to tie up the cap space. Are they that disapointed with last years rookies? It's clear that they are going to use 2 high picks on Tackle and Center which is great but what about running back. Is their idea of a revamped running game using Chris Perry and DeDe Dorsy? Maybe this is their way of telling us they are using a top pick on a back.
