So as we stand on the brink of an elimination game think about this.. This team has been written off so many times, it's not even worth reading what other sports writers write about us. Could we overcome adversity one more time?

The clips are given about a 6% chance of winning this series now. Nearly impossible. But I'll not give up on this team....I'll take my 6% chance and show that we are not gone yet...

i'm hearing a lot of love for Prince as our BEST SF option..people are bundling Kaman for prince( a bad idea), and all this love of his veteran status and all...

BUT HOLD ON NATION!  I remember him blocking reggie miller or something ages ago...and then NOTHING!  for years and seasons, he hasn't even been an impact player, and his build has him slipping more each year in his stats.

Why do we want this old skinny dude anyway?  Maybe 4 or 5 years ago...but even then, Rip Hamilton was the terror that caused them to get their ring in detroit...remember him running around screens and people chasing him?

So i just want to throw this out there..Tayshaun Prince will be a bust with the clips if we sign him...frail build plus jason powell = disaster.  Can you guys convince me how awesome he is?  or is he going to be another old timer on a youth movement?  I say focus on someone a bit beefier, that can get those rebounds for us (that ej just watches bounce), but more importantly can be a threat on the wing when the Quake is doubleteamed...thoughts?

why cant we score buckets?  i mean, we absolutely can NOT seem to put the ball in the hole..fancy low post moves, clankers from distance...even with no real defensive presence to speak of from the other teams we still stink.  we need to focus our free agent bucks on an offensive specialist...defense wins playoff games..offense can get you into the playoffs...when was the last time we scored a 100 points? tmac could score in bunches back in the day, so he MAY fit the bill...are there any other guys that can score the ball ala JR smith...in bunches?  i see NO one on our team able to hit two shots in a row uncontested...who wi;ll we look for on offense in the 4th?  i hope blake griffen, but when hes double teamed weve got NOTHING!  anyone have an idea on how we can score more buckets? maybe get our PPG up about 12 points a game?

really LA Times?  Its not bad enough you have shoddy coverage, but its downright insulting to lose an LA team completely..

he got dragged around like achild on zo's leg...I thought we wanted to get "respectable"..we need someone who realizes that we have nbeen an LA joke, and gets pissed off about it.  someone with a chip on their shoulder..maybe someone who understands the point guards POV..pehaps there will be someone who was a former clipper.  someone the city loves already?

I got one for you..Say you are Donald T Sterling..Say you find out that your star new rookie ticket selling stud is going to be out of commission around mid december..maybe earlier..Now what do you do?  Do you TELL your hard working money paying fanbase that you are basically putting last years starting five back on the floor?  Never?  Do you play a .."Let's wait and see approach" to the medical news?  Doctors have been wrong before (though not as much in the mutli million dollar sports medicine industry)...

Or do you perhaps NOT tell the fans..even AFTER you find out about the injury..Maybe you even decide to stick em for one last pathetic hope at seeing their new Start player..Perhaps even have the gall to announce a starting date for the fans..hmmm..where are sales the worst..hmmm..how about around valentines day?  No guy is taking his broad to a clips game now..So we pick a good date..Say, some random game with shitty sales figures..oooh...Chicago Bulls on the 20th...Hell, it might even motivate the team to kick it into gear..$$$$$...

oh wait..now the truth comes out.BG is really messed up..Season ending injury that should have had him ion a cast for months now...and all i have is some sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that somehow DTS and Dunleavy knew all along...Neither are very good liars, and you can pretty much read every thought on MDsr's face when asked about a BG timetable for return..

Now i don't want to be this negative..But i'm no fool either.  And I got a real bad feeling bout this. about the lack of an early MRI for progress..about the 4-6 months surgery..really?  Of course i am gonna trust your prognosis DTS and Dunleavy and Jason Powell! Yo were spot on with Elton and Livingston injuries timetables  Hey Blake..get a second opinion will ya...for the fans?

and still had a 17 point game....he was boo'd  every time he touched it..loudly..something tells me he gets the message now...good job clipsnation in the collective efforts...it really shows who pays attention to the team and the goings on..and tonight we were out in force with the boos and catcalls...but man, it felt good to shout "traitor" at the top of my lungs when he was shooting free throws..heh..anyone else ?  does anyone remember anyone else getting that kind of treatment?  not kobe...not anyone i can think of...

i have a theory for the nation..it has to do with Kaman and his newfound drawing of the doubleteam..  IN the first few games he was what I call a greedy scorer..He was confident enough to take the shot, get the foul, or at least out up a high percentage or close/open shot.  Since the fourth game where he was the "focus of the defense"..he started playing a completely DIFFERENT kind of ball.  He has lost all the confidence and "greed" aroubnd the basket.  Now he catches..and waits..and waits...and then does a backdown move.  Maybe Kaman makes a handmotion to "run the offense" and get sool butler to come over and shoot a much lower percentage shot from distance...maybe its now Mr Flippy against a set defense deep in the shot clock trying a botched layup...

DOn't get me wrong..i'm a Kaman Supporter...but it just seems so obvious that his waiting for doubletams (ala Shaq) just doesn't work for Chris...I think he should let the double teams come before deciding to pass...Currently he's already passed the ball in his head as soon as he touches it..WAY more worried about an assist out of the Doubleteam.  FOr the love of pete , just catch and shoot Kaman.  agree?  Disagree?

KAVEMAN SHOOT NOT THINK!

Just wondering if anyone had seen my kid...let's see he's about 7 feet with a massive wingspan.  Likes to block shots.  Likes to dominate around the rim with tip slams, box outs, rebounds and the occasional alley oop highlight.  Well. let's see..he WAS playing well with the other children this preseason...and everyone was looking for him on the playground...and he was dominating the recess practices..and now no one will give little DJ the ball..or the minutes...what happened to DJ? he was the MAN this summer..and now he's back to being the KID again?  WTF?

who said before the game yesterday...

And right before the game I told Big Z that "last year they lost by 38 and it took their heart"..This year, we don't have to win this game...we just have to measure up to the 38 point loss from last season..I figure if we lost by 38 again, it would be same old season..by 15 we got about 50% better..etc...etc...And if we just got close..say within 5 or so..you know..striking distance...I'd say we were ready to be competitive this season...

Well guess what guys...we got within 7 points of the defending western conference champs on a night they MUST win..i mean damn, did you see Tex winter over there?  They weren't gonna be able to drop THIS one..

I'll take our 7 point loss on the chin like man...keep your heads high team...We are a vastly improved team over last season..because we ALL know we can play better ball than that...Our guys had a ton of opportunities...

we need our identity..and most important we need to establish a "Go to guy"  some sort of pecking order..It seems after Eric Gordon  missed a shot, he was ignored on offense..but I felt he was effective offensively ..man, did he get to the line in impressive fashion a couple of times tonight... so he gets my vote for the go to guy..

At the end of the game..who should take the shots in the 4th quarter for this team?

Oh, and Baron...please take the time off to recover that foot...Or i'm gonna be up on Jason Powell next...

are the only names that have made ANY sense….why so hard to adopt a logical name…and Blake Superior makes me think of the fucking Lakers…Anything but a "lake" reference...jeez!!! can you please quit forcing your 3am conjured nickname on us? don’t you get it? no clippers fans like yours..CAN'T YOU SEE THE LAKERS CONNECTION?  ….not even Blake wants it….

I know its your blog, and you have the final edit...But with something so lasting, and controversial as this...Don't you think you should look at some other possibilities that might be more RELEVANT to the Los Angeles Clippers?  where is there a lake in California?  Lake Malibu?  Please, Please, Please..listen to the hatred for this name out there...pick something safer( it doesn't even have to be Quake!  I'm open to a debate at least)...let go of your ego, which is driving this whole thing...Like Baron, you should pass this rock to a better shooter...

he's scared to death to play another season in the greek leagues after that riot..who could blame him.  As much as i've wanted to throw something at dunleavy last year, at least the atmosphere was limited to boos, not road flares raining down from above...

Let;s get out greek connection working...Jannero Pargo as a backup pg or sg...Sofoklis Schorskinitis as our big man insurance.  Sorry brian Skinner....feasible? discuss...

Plenty of discussions of clippers needs..lots of people saying we need an unselfish "glue" guy..

so we go veteran ? Or do we look into the draft and see if our guy is there?

so who can we realistically get for one of our bigs?  I say we keep kaman unless something amazing is offered, so let's say Camby for..?who?

I say we need either a Tayshaun Prince type of defender/glue guy if we go veteran..

If we go draft, I think we should try to trade around and pick up one of the lower draft picks (say 7-12) and try to get Tyler Hansborough..ultimate glue guy...

Okay, I love camby..great attitude, constantly going after rebounds, and a vet in the locker room..

BUT....this is bball..as much as the guy has tangibles, there might be something to think about...Denver lets him go after years and they finally make a big playoff push...Camby shows up as a clipper, we end up with a 19 win season...

There are some out there that see this as too big of a coincidence...that while Camby has great individual stats, and ranks high in these rankings...he actually is a very porous defender, who plays out of position way too much in an effort to block shots...I've yet to see him take a charge, and with the combo of Camby, Randolph, and kaman...well, let's just say have you ever seen these guys clog the lane and dominate the interior?  take those hard charges?  Prevent multiple layups? 

As we mull over trade scenarios and play monday morning GM for the next month think about this....

Would losing Camby really make a difference with 3 other bigs?  can Camby be the trade piece to get us over the hump?  Keep Kaman till the trade deadline( one more shot!), draft Griffin(go OU!), use ZBo effectively at the PF dominating the right block, and Trade Camby for a Backup pg (can we have Shaun Livingston back please?) and SF...
