Diamondbacks Trends: 4/19 - 5/1

The Arizona Diamondbacks played both the Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants twice these last two weeks, coming away with a 6-7 record, though the sweep by the Giants certainly looked avoidable. See who's up and who's down.

Rockies 6, D'backs 3: McCarthy's Big Inning Woes

The Diamondbacks saw their win streak end at three games at the hands of the Colorado Rockies Friday night. Brandon McCarthy struggled with the big inning and the offense struggled with the big hit, stranding eight runners on the night.

Rockies 6, Diamondbacks 3

The Arizona Diamondbacks snapped their 3-game winning streak with a loss to the Colorado Rockies. Brandon McCarthy gave up six runs in six innings and Arizona left eight men on base in the losing effort.

D'backs 3, Giants 2: Deja Vu All Over Again

The Diamondbacks came into Wednesday with a chance to take the series from the Giants. Ian Kennedy and Madison Bumgarner both pitched well, so it was late inning drama and heroics that ended this contest in favor of Arizona.

Dbacks 1, Rockies 3: Offensive Blackout

The Diamondbacks were defeated by the Colorado Rockies in what was a very low-scoring game Coors Field. The two teams combined for eight hits and 18 strikeouts. Ian Kennedy wasn't bad, but a Troy Tulowitzki's home run was plenty of offense.

Diamondbacks 1, Rockies 3

The Rockies only had three hits this evening, but they made them count. A Troy Tulowitzki 2-run home run put Colorado ahead and they never looked back. Rockies pitchers held Arizona to five hits and struck out eight.

Dbacks Trends: April 12th-18th

The Diamondbacks had an even .500 record in the last two series, and similarly, the blame for the woes seems to fall on both the pitching and the offense. See who's hot and who's not this week.

Diamondbacks 6, Yankees 2

It took until the 12th inning, but the Diamondbacks get out of New York with a win. Didi Gregorius debuted with a home run, and Patrick Corbin pitched well against his hometown team.
