Canis Hoopus shout-out in Wolf Tracks

Sorry if this was mentioned before, but I just read my February edition of "Wolf Tracks" magazine and was pleasantly surprised to see Jim Pete give a shout-out to Canis Hoopus as well as Britt Robson's Timberwolves blog.

The main gist of his column was to talk about going deeper inside the statistics for stuff like eFG and offensive efficiency. He singled out Hoopus as doing a particularly good job of that.

Wish there was a link to the column because it was one of the better ones I've seen in the magazine.

Philly pick?

So I'm at the Cleveland game last night and my mind inevitably started to wander towards the 2009 draft during the 4th quarter.

I know the Wolves have picks potentially coming from Miami, Boston and Philly along with their own. Was wondering what the protections are for the Philly pick since RealGM does not even acknowledge it on their site.

http://www.realgm.com/src_future_draftpicks.php#minnesota

I would say the Boston pick is a lock since there's no way they're going to get a top-3 pick and the Miami one seems highly possible being only top-10 protected. Thank goodness the pick the Wolves still owe to the Clippers is top-10 protected for another three years yet...

Should Mike Miller get a haircut?

OK, so this is nothing really important, but it bothers me.

Can we please start a campaign for Mike Miller to get a haircut so he's not forced to wear that silly string-like headband of his this season?

It drove me bonkers just to see it the handful of times the Grizzlies would play the Wolves, but now that he's on our team, I'm potentially going to be subjected to it 75 times if I watch as many games as I expect to.

Am I alone in this quibble?
