While we have all have read many post here concerning the blatant biased press and their hit jobs on U.C.L.A., my complaint is directed at the local sports talk. Since espn radio carries suc games, I understand them interviewing Cheaty Petey and various players constantly and very few U.C.L.A. players and coaches. However, 570 radio,which carries the Bruins games, has far fewer interviews with U.C.L.A. players and coaches, mostly with CRN. Being a stay home dad,I listen often to both stations. There have been comments here before, complaining about Hartman.

Today, Hartman and Meyers were talking about the worst and best pro teams and their fans. Hartman then commented on fans who support bad teams. He then said he saw a guy at the car wash "rocking a U.C.L.A. shirt, shorts and cap" he then said" why? doesn't he get it? doesn't he understand?" "They have lost 5 in a row!"

So, are we supposed to put away our gear and have it be our dirty little secret that we are bruins fans? I am sorry if this ran on, but that's just an example of what is put out there. Thanks for listening

What is wrong with USCs Defense, one they got quit playing zone coverage all the time. The secondary is always playing deep and gives up the short pass, they are to fast to play this way. For some reason the staff is out to lunch on this and it has caught up to them. Well maybe Rocky Seto will have the guts to start calling the right plays, but I think not. It's all right this team will end up 10-2 and will make a BCS bowl. Thank god they will not be at the Rosebud Bowl this year and will get to travel for the first time in a long time.

After all Ucla is the sole proprietor of this place and they have made it reek. How can a team just blow game after game to teams they should beat, I mean look at their recruiting classes the last 3 years. If Ucla played in the MWC they wouldn't win a game but maybe the WAC would be more suitable, or maybe a good D-2 league.

Well I was reading the report of coach Kevin O'Neals the other day, he gives us some good info and hope for the upcoming season. The one thing that sticks out to me is his offensive ideals, we will score as quickly as possible. This attitude will be a welcome change for me, no more controlled boring offensive sets. I feel you will see more in the face defense and better blocking out on the boards, this should get the kids out and running. Coach O'Neill press conference transcript

Ucla, why don't they have a better football program (teams) I mean they are in So Cal.

You can’t tell me it’s the area compared to USCs it is basically the yellow brick road, nice neighborhood. They have kick ass facilities and one of the best football fields in America, it is known as the Granddaddy of them all. It is a beautiful campus nice settings and some of the best medical buildings in America. It is in the Top twenty five academic schools in the nation. They have good coaches and great backing from alumni and students. So really what is it maybe most of the players just don’t fit in, but I still don’t get it. Maybe it’s the baby blue little bear not very masculine though, like change to real bear and midnight blue and gold. I don’t know maybe some day things will change.

Here we go again BN wants another writer banned from Ucla, TJ Simers. Hey I have never liked this guy but he is who he is and I can't change that. BN has already asked for a ban on Marcia Smith and Al Balderas of OC register, now they hate Simers like who doesn't. I got to give it to them they are more consistent than the FB program, but do they really think anyone listens. They now are talking about canceling their subscriptions to the Times, I hadn't had one for 25 years like thats going to make a difference. They used to make me mad but now all Nestor and TyCan'tes does is Crack me up, thanks for the laughs fools.

When will they crying stop , these are just a few rants around the horn going on at other sites. These strange ones just can’t focus on the right stuff, they continue to cry as the little ones they are:

My gut feeling is that we will do better than expected and USC will do worse than expected.

I would be a fool to venture a guess as to what suc will be like. They lost so many players on D and have a freshman (albeit a somewhat tested #2 in Mustain) starting at QB. Those media kiss-asses have them at 4 or 3 in the national polls. That is absurd. I would at least wait for the tOSU game before I ranked them so high. Furthermore, I predict they will lose 3 games.

With the NCAA investigation pending, they aren’t going to sniff a NC or a HT until that is settled. I get the sense that there is a lot of bad blood between usc and everyone else due to the fact that so many have been busted for self-reported violations and usc has skated for years and years.

Besides, Mays has too much against him, the first of all being he is a defensive player.

Had better be locks, or we aren’t going to be better this year. However, I can’t think of any area where we’d possibly be worse off than 2008. Our team is better, and our schedule is easier. We get Cal and Oregon at home.

I really think we’re going to see some surprises this year for UCLA and the PAC-10 in general. My guess is that OSU will have a significant drop off and possibly Oregon too. This will leave teams like UCLA, Stanford, or Arizona to fill in the vacuum.

If Oregon loses Masoli or Blount to injury, they will be in big trouble. The same goes for Cal and Best who is already nursing an injury and had off season surgery on his foot. The only player at UCLA who I think is at the same level of indispensability is Brian Price, but he’s never shown any sort of proclivity for injury. If we lose him though, I think teams like Stanford and Oregon will be able to run up the middle all day against us. Of course we have other great starters I’d hate to lose, but in most positions we have some depth and could replace them.

Well Jill. We can probably say the same thing about Chetey Petey from cross town. Perhaps you guys can start calling on the NCAA to do something about his renegade program right now so that he doesn't continue to pull off on a yearly basis what Calipari did it in both Massachusetts and Memphis.

I guess the lesson for big time coaches here is simple. Nothing wrong with not following the rules. The NCAA will not come after you. They are powerless to punish you.

Just don't fill out any March Madness brackets thought. That's when all hell will break lose.

No wonder the illicit money continues to be scattered like birdseed. No wonder 18-year-old kids who couldn’t afford a clunker are suddenly driving new cars. No wonder family members who live in poverty are coming up with the dough to fly across the country for games (For Heisman presentations?) or to relocate to the city where their son plays basketball.

We shouldn’t be stunned that so much cheating goes on in college basketball. (Or Football for that matter) Not after Thursday . . . . . . . the NCAA might as well have used a bullhorn to deliver its message to coaches across the land: Serious and repeated improprieties don’t bring serious repercussions.

Emphasis and Parentheticals are mine. No mention of USC, but who else could he be referring to with that quip about poor kids driving shiny new cars?

Maybe these people will someday understand this is just sports not life or death!
