ESPN's Outside the Lines program today threw a poll out to the "SportsNation" asking, and I quote:

"Who should be primarily responsible for safeguarding against a collegiate athlete receiving extra benefits?"

Of 43,124 (and counting) votes, 57% answered "the athlete" with 27% saying "the administration" and 15% "the coaching staff."

Just like everyone's been saying about USC and Pete Carroll, right?

It's stuff like this that makes me want to tell the fanbase of 119 other schools to eat a hefty bag full of dicks.

Wow. Way to lay another egg. The 49 yard field goal attempt was just the most flagrant example of not understanding your opponent. Watching Oklahoma show up woefully unprepared for yet another BCS game makes me appreciate Pete Carroll and company that much more. 

Congratulations to the Florida Gators.  I'm not any more convinced that they're the best team in the country than I was four hours ago, but they earned the victory tonight, for whatever that's worth.
