Looking around ESPN today I found an article about the Brewers, chronicling things that've gone wrong through the last 25 years. The article fits the general tenor around Brew Crew Ball these days - dark, morose, full of pain and a sense of historical inevitability. Even the most mainstream of the mainstream media seems to be hopping on the Milwaukee Brewers Depression Bandwagon TM. Enjoy!

link

(edit: turned the url into a clickable link. to do so, write some text, like "link" above, click on the little chain link icon in the toolbar, and enter the URL when prompted.)

If this was already posted somewhere, sorry:

1. Weeks 2b

2. Gwynn cf

3. Fielder 1b

4. Braun lf

5. Hall 3b

6. Hart rf

7. Hardy ss

8. Sheets p

9. Kendall c

Some, well, interesting choices by Ned here. Unimpressive OBP and no-power TBJr in the 2 spot? Hall hitting behind Braun rather than Hart? And let's not even get started on the absurdity of Ben Sheets hitting in a major league lineup, let alone hitting eighth. Still, it's the best day of the year.

Unrelated: did I have to create a new account after the website change? I tried to log in with my old one and it wouldn't let me.

I'm sure quite a few of you have seen this already, but I just thought I'd link to it for those who hadn't.

http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=720531

A couple thoughts about the article:

As a vegetarian myself, this just makes Prince all the cooler to me (especially when combined with his "dreadlocks in their infancy")

The end of the article does make me question his sincerity a bit, though.

Doesn't his wife sound like a bit of a battle-axe?
