Does he still project as a starting OF for the Cubs? He's had a very nice year in AA, showing good power, but he's 24 and still doesn't seem to know how to take a walk. His K% wasn't terrible at 17.3%, but guys like him seem to rely too much on high BABIPs to sustain a reasonable batting average.

In 2 starts since his call up to the big leagues, he's 2-6 with 2 walks, despite not walking once in his last 14 AA games.

What is the deal with Colvin and what type of upside do you ultimately think he has?

I'd like to know what everyone thinks of these 4 guys in terms of upside + likelihood of reaching it.

1. Mauricio Robles - LHP Tigers: Robles has a mid 90s fastball and a plus curve with developing control. Seems to me like he has some serious top of the rotation potential.

2. Cody Scarpetta - RHP Brewers: Scarpetta is build like a horse at 6'3/240 lbs. I've read he has a low-mid 90s power sinker, a solid curve and a developing changeup. Seems like he could be a strong #3 in the majors.

3. Trevor Harden - RHP Diamondbacks: John talked about Harden as being a serious potential breakout candidate, due to a lot of ingredients for success including a nice 3 pitch mix. I've never really heard anyone talk about the kind of upside he really has though.

4. Alexander Perez - RHP Indians: One of the more surprising breakouts this year. He's got an above average fastball, a wipeout curve that's rated by BA as the best in the Indians system alongside De La Cruz, and an above average change. Seems like another top of the rotation upside guy.

Cincinnati Reds minor league CF Chris Heisey is having an outstanding year so far in AA. What is his deal? What kind of upside does he have & where does he fit in Cincinnati's future plans?
His stats on the season are otherworldly:

Prospect Face-Off: Brett Lawrie vs. Kyle Skipworth

Who is the better prospect?

Who do you like better: Brett Lawrie or Kyle Skipworth?

Both 2008 1st round draftees.
Both catchers for the time being.
Both highly touted for their bats.

Lawrie didn't play after being drafted due to the Olympics. He's said to have a great power bat and an excellent approach for such a young player.

Skipworth has been compared to Joe Mauer and is the only other HS catcher taken in the top 10 picks over the past 13 drafts. He "should" hit for average and power as he matures.

I have the #3 overall pick, and I'm preparing for Wieters & Price to go 1 & 2.

Interesting question for debate. Please write some feedback instead of JUST voting.

I'm strictly talking about offensive numbers here.

I have the #3 overall pick in my dynasty MiLB draft, and it's known that Price/Wieters will go 1 & 2, so I'm left with a tough choice.

I've narrowed it down to Snider & Rasmus because I feel like both could help my team in 2009, and that's somewhat important to me, seeing how I think I can compete this year. Would it make more sense to grab one of them, or go for a guy like Alvarez who probably won't help me at all this year?

In my opinion, I'd rate them:

I'd like to hear all opinions on these 3 and I'd also like to know who everyone thinks has the best combo of upside+likelihood to reach that ceiling. I'm a sucker for a monster power bat, so maybe that's why I like Snider so much. Also, this is info for a fantasy league, so I'm kind of intrigued by Snider's instant help to the squad.
