Dayan Viciedo

With rookie drafts coming soon, where does the community feel that Dayan Viciedo belongs, ranking wise? I would still take Smoak, Hosmer, Alvarez, Alonso and T. Beckham ahead of him, but after that I am not sure. I've heard all the "bad-body" comments, but at 19 I am sure the Sox staff can get him in shape. Plus guys like Cabrera, Lee etc...seem to put the bad body stuff in perspective.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Trade

Keeper league, favors hitters a bit...got offered Morneau for Lars Anderson, Julio Teheran and my first round pick, which is top 5. The draft is for all the 08 picks, so it should net a Smoak, Hosmer, Alvarez, Alonso or Beckham.

If my rebuilding tem were closer to winning, maybe, but I'm inclined to show patience...what does the community think of the deal, value wise and down the line?? (In other words, is Lars = Morneau down the line?)

Thanks!

Draft Advice Sought

Keeper League Draft coming up and I have the third pick for all new eligible players (07 draftees, foreign players)...

I know Price will be selected before my pick, so that leaves Moustakas, Wieters, Heyward, LaPorta as my choices (I think)...who do you guys think will have the best long-term fantasy value (regardless of league scoring)?

As always, thanks for any input.

Position Premium

Got offered Mauer for Tex and Bruce in one of my 5x5 leagues. I understand that certain positions (C,MI) carry a certain premium, but as good as he is, Mauer will never put up the run production of a Tex (or Bruce imo)....

Do you guys believe there should be a premium for positions, or is just better to field the best lineup regardless of position? I am in the latter obviously. If there is a premium, when is enough enough? PS, I wouldn't do that deal in a million years.

Jay Bruce Projection

New to the board. I have enjoyed it for a few years now and find the posters to be quite knowledgeable.

With Hamilton being dealt, it looks like a  competition for the Reds CF spot. If Bruce can manage to win the job out of ST, what kind of stats would be reasonable to expect? After Gordon failing to live up to expectations last year I was curious what the community thought before I think about trading for him...

Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.
