The Phinsider I need some Hope!

We are not getting Manning! and Lord help us if we get AJ Feely oops i mean Ray Lucas ohhh my bad Flynn. The 2 best QB’s we have had since Marino are Pennington and Gus Ferotte. I liked Fiedler but……… you know. The Dolphins need to stop pissing on my hopes and telling me its raining! We need a stud QB

To make matters worse we trade our best Offensive option away, what QB is going to want to rely on Hartline and Bess? WOW!

I have a dream, and i have been getting killed for it but its MY Dream! I hope Manning signs with Denver and Tebow comes to Miami. I dont care how many people say he is a sorry QB. Elway hated him as the QB and was put on the field to fail. Tebow succeeded anyways. They called plays he was struggling with, play action under center, and took away money plays like the screen pass. Only in the 4th quarters when they were losing they HAD to stop calling the play action under center plays, or else it would it would of been obvious they were trying to sabotage him

Just picture this, Tebow in the shotgun with a hybrid west coast offense that spreads the field giving Tebow, Bush and our new 2nd best offensive player by default Charles Clay, room to make big plays. Only then could Hartline, Bess and Gates look good. See what Tebow did for McGahee and imagine what Bush could do in his place. That would be nasty!

Just think about it because I KNOW FLYNN IS NOT THE ANSWER

Peninsula is Mightier Jordan is pissing me off

Since he retired the second time he has shown what an arrogant ass he really is. Remember his induction speech? I do, he showed how arrogant he is, i was shocked just like everyone else. Then he over paid and took on the franchise's debt for a small market team, just so he could be an owner. Dumb ass! He let his emotions take over in the most important business decision of his life. After his induction speech he really wanted to prove them all wrong again. Maybe if his wife didn't divorce him and took half of his money he could of gambled. Im not trying for the low blow but im just saying.

Now he is the main reason of this labor dispute. Owners are losing to much money? Im sure some are but they dont want to open their books for the lawyers to see, what are some trying to hide. Maybe some owners should of thought about owning there arena. Half of the year they could be making money on concerts and other things. Does anyone believe he retired the first time to pursue baseball? Really, come on, dont piss on me and tell me its raining. There have been rumors about a gambling problem that lead to a 2 year secret ban. i dont know, but ill believe that before baseball.

I'm on the players side of the dispute, i dont think the all the owners really want to get the law involved and if they do it should be interesting

Mile High Report What I saw against Detriot

First off i am a dolphin fan so I know bad choices when i see them lol. Secondly I am bias towards Tebow and would love to have him as long as we hire Urban to coach him, and maybe Skip bayless on the team somehow, JOKING,

1. Why trade Lloyd? the game against houston last year Llyod and Tebow worked well together. This year he didnt hold on the that 2pt conversion but it was good D, and he more than made up for it on the crazy 1 hand sideline catch right after. So i dont get the mentality of “lets help our new QB in his first start of this year, fourth career start, by trading his BEST weapon and leaving him with that Thomas guy” not actual quote just smh

2. That Thomas guy. I’m not even going to bother looking up his first name because why should I put forth more effort on my computer than he does on the field! I just started watching so i might be wrong and usually am but he looks like he has some Jamarcus qualities. To take out Llyod and put in this guy and tell Tebow to go win with him is ridiculous

3. The RT Franklin has to move else where! WTF What is the most important piece of an offensive line? No its not the LT, its the tackle who is PROTECTING the QBs Blind side. So Tebow is TOLD to do 5 and 7 step drops back passes with a Rookie tackle who is getting beat consistently! 14 sacks in 2 games wow and that is some of Tebows doing but mostly because of Bad blocking. Move your Best lineman Clady to the RT and your offense will do better!

4. Your Defense needs to improve but it isnt as bad as most people think. Yea that Young play was horrible but ive seen worse by my Dolphins this year. I believe we both have good D’s but how good can they be if their getting 2 min of rest than going right back out there for 10 min. Athletes get tired just like the rest of us. Your defense will get better when you can get some first downs

Mile High Report How can Coaches help Tebow help team

Why is Tebow only successful late in games? I really hate the whole game manager approach by most coaches. Instead of telling the player to go out there and win the game, their telling them to go out there and not lose the game. Instead of thinking about making plays their thinking about not turning the ball over. This has to stop. Obviously Tebow can make the plays when the team is down and they have to spread it out and hurry up, so why not take that approach earlier in the game. Nobody uses a fullback any more so they should be 3 wr, Decker, Thomas, and Royal, 1 te, Fells, and a RB all game.

Just a thought, with Decker at 6-3 218 and Thomas at 6-3 235, the coaches should be telling them to man handle the smaller CBs in every running play. Beat them up all game and by the fourth quarter the CB's will dread having to cover them

Peninsula is Mightier Heats biggest challenge against the Celtics

Rondo? No, he will play his game, driving to the whole then pass it out but our defensive rotations have been great as of late.

Allen? Nope, im sure there will be one or to games when he is on fire but he can be contained with proper attention.

Pierce? I don't think so, Im hoping for an Iguodala type performance, Guarding James will wear anyone out.

Garnett?  No, Like rondo he will play his game nothing less and nothing more.

The O'Neals, ha, IF they can stay healthy. But they can be countered with Joel. With Joel in the lineup Our D is great, and if our d is great we should be able to run, if we run then the O'neals wont be a factor.

Big Baby? what a clown just watch that big azz mother f'er take a charge, he is already falling down BEFORE there is contact, what a pussy!

Our Biggest challenge will be the Refs. I not blaming them for nothing but this is the playoffs, they will let everyone be a little more physical. If Wade and James get frustrated  at non calls then we will lose but if they stay calm and collected we will win.

Peninsula is Mightier Supersubs

Meet the Miami Heat's new supersubs

April, 10, 2011 Apr 10 9:01 PM ET Wallace By Michael Wallace
Archive MIAMI -- There was no shortage of nicknames for Joel Anthony on Sunday night.

Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra referred to his backup center as "The Matrix," because Anthony spent most of the game against the Boston Celtics “in two places at once.”

Celtics forward Kevin Garnett simply equated Anthony to a basketball assassin.

Joel Anthony: The No. 1 trending topic on Twitter in Miami on Sunday afternoon!
“Anthony killed us today by himself,” Garnett said after the Heat's 100-77 victory over Boston at AmericanAirlines Arena, a win Miami desperately needed after so many meltdowns and disastrous defeats against its biggest Eastern Conference nemesis.

For Anthony, that's some rather high praise for arguably the lowest-profile player on the Heat's roster. But on Sunday, Anthony emerged from the shadows to help the Heat's bench provide the boost that allowed them to blow past the Celtics and into position to finish with the No. 2 seed in the East.

Anthony grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds, scored seven points and anchored a Heat defense that hounded the Celtics into 19 turnovers and just 42.9 percent shooting in the second half.

On most nights, it's LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh who combine to do the heavy lifting, while their supporting cast is criticized for a lack of consistent production. Against the Celtics, a team that fairly contained the Heat's Big Three on Sunday, it was Miami's reserves that made the biggest difference in the game.

James, Wade and Bosh were glad to share the spotlight with Anthony, Mario Chalmers, Juwan Howard and James Jones. The Heat's bench outscored the Celtics' reserves 32-12 in Miami's first victory in the season series after three consecutive losses.

The Heat's bench had contributed just eight points in their previous loss to Boston, and had struggled to provide much support throughout the season as one of the league's least-productive units. But that wasn't the case Sunday.

“We had a lot of contributions from different people,” Spoelstra said. “We are a more dangerous team when more people are involved, more people being active and engaged in the game, and that doesn't necessarily mean scoring. Those guys can bring a lot of different intangibles.”

Chalmers got the second unit going when he scored all nine of his points in the second quarter, during which the Heat recovered from a slow start to outscore the Celtics 26-18 in the period and lead 47-40 at the half. Anthony punctuated the third quarter when he cut to the basket, caught a pass from James and finished with a dunk to push the Heat's lead to 74-59.

Anthony has probably cost James more potential assists than any other teammate this season. But Anthony is starting to make up for those missed opportunities by making baskets when the ball comes his way near the rim.

“I just try to stay in Joel's ear,” James said of the Heat's leading shot-blocker. “When he's on the floor, he's always thinking defense. And rightfully so because he's really good. But he has to be aggressive on the offensive end, too. I got on him today. D-Wade made a pass to him right under the rim, and he threw it back out and it was a turnover. So I'm staying on him. D-Wade stays on him. We can't ever have a player out there that's not confident in his ability.”

Anthony said his confidence is building. That's also the case with the Heat's bench. Miami is counting heavily on Anthony and that bench heading into the playoffs. On Sunday, it responded against a heated rival in what essentially was a playoff atmosphere in the Heat's regular-season home finale.

“It was real important because there was so much at stake,” Anthony said. “Everyone wanted to make sure they were able to do their job and everything they could to make sure we were in position to win. The bench came out with so much energy and so much focus. We definitely did a good job with that.”

The Heat's reserves shot 12-of-19 (63.1 percent) from the field and contributed 16 rebounds. Miami pounded Boston 42-26 on the glass and held a 44-26 edge in paint points. Those totals included an 18-3 advantage over the Celtics in second-chance points.

“I think we're a better team than we were the first few times we played them,” Chalmers said. “We're all a lot more involved, and I think we really wanted this one.”

The Heat's top three players could certainly use the help more consistently as the stakes get higher in the playoffs.

“When our bench plays well, we're a pretty good team and we're hard to beat,” James said. “And that's why we were able to win a big game today, because they stepped up.”

And finished.

Especially around the basket, thanks to Anthony.

There was a time when he used to be called Hands of Stone, because of his inability to catch the ball and finish around the basket.

But that's starting to be no longer the case. Anthony is earning more flattering nicknames these days.

“It's my job to make sure I finish those plays,” Anthony said of the feeds into the post. “So I was just trying to focus and dial in. Just focus and finish. And I've been successful at that lately.”

Canis Hoopus Love For MVP

LOL I know he wont get it but I believe the man deserves consideration. I remember when he was drafted thinking this guy was a clown, he wouldn't be a NBA player, boy was i wrong! I like Beasly, the kid has talent. one of the most gifted offensive threats to enter the league, hopefully Beasly gets his head right and plays more consistant, and with a winning record maybe next year Love will get in the top three

Peninsula is Mightier Two down one to go. Who will be the odd man out

Now that Hasbrouck and Randolph are gone, here comes the tough decision. Who is next?  I don't want to get rid of anyone. I like what i have seen from Beverley, he was the one who was supposed to get cut as well, but I believe he has shown enough to consider keeping him. Here are my  options.

Players who will get regular minutes.

Pg    Chalmers, Arroyo

Sg    Wade

Sf     Lebron, Miller

Pf     Bosh, Haslem

C      Anthony, Big Z

Thats 9 guys that will be playing every night, Coach Spo can use Chalmers, Lebron, Miller. Bosh, Haslem, and Wade at multiple positions giving him more options.

Now at the bottom of the bench 10, 11, and 12 playing spot duty will probably be JJ, House, and Howard. JJ and Howard can play multiple positions while all House has to do is hit the open three.

The next three guy will be wearing a suit and tie to the games. Butler, Pittman, and Beverley. It pains me to think it but Magloire seems to be the odd man out.

Pros and cons of roster spots 10 thru 15

JJ can shoot the three and defend sg and sf. He cant create his own shot, but if he is open he can take as many shots as he wants to. Spo has given him the green light on open shots. I know he will stay

House, when he is hot he is one of the best, problem is that he is not hot consistently. He is a good scorer but a bad defender. I don't want him, i dont think we will need more help at scoring.

Howard provides valuable depth at the 4 and 5 spots. A season vet who knows his role and will be ready when called upon. The question is how often will his number get called? I would rather see the 12 spot occupied by a young guy.

Butler has potential to be a real good player, and i would love to fill out the roster with youth and potential.

Pittman is BIG. I like what i have seen so far out of him. Some people say he is a one or two year project, but he should play this year in spot duty. One of the main reasons the Heat drafted him was the defense he played at Texas. They have similar defensive schemes, guarding the pick and roll and rotations.

Beverley is a pesky defender who will annoy the hell out of whatever pg he is sent in to defend. I love the speed and quickness but his offense has a long way to go.

Magloire the Enforcer. He will bring the hammer down on anyone who tries to play rough with his teammates. Solid player who can score near the basket, rebound and can hit you once to make you think twice about coming into the lane again. no negatives from me about the Big Cat

Its to tough to call right now, whoever Riley cuts, im sure he knows whats best

Peninsula is Mightier Lebron starting pg?

The Heat signed Mike Miller for what reason? Do they want him to come of the bench, or do they want him to be on the floor with the Three Kings to spread the defense and hit open jumpers. The Heat have been saying that they want a three point man to open things up, if so then I think he should be starting. If he starts then there is only one person who would come off the bench and that would be Chalmers. Then the question would be who is playing the 1, 2, and 3 positions?

First option Lebron at the point, he averaged 8.5 assists a game last year. He is not a ball hog like kobe, and when he brings the ball down all eyes will be on him, leaving many opportunities for him to find the open man. He was once criticized for passing out of a double team to a wide open donyell marshell with the game on the line because marshell missed the shot. I'm sure Wade, Bosh and Miller can finish the play better than marshell. On defense he can guard the point,  hell he can guard 1,2,3,4 and half the weak centers in the league.

Wade has dominated at the 2 guard and will continue to do so.That leaves miller at the three. This is the lineup that i want.

Other option Wade 1, Miller 2, and James at the 3

What ever the team decides we will still dominate the NBA!!!!!!!!!!   LMFAO at all the haters. Keep adding fuel the the fire cause all of you are going to get burned!!!
