Afflicted by hockey at the tender age of 5. Blues were my team and Bobby Plager and Bobby Orr were my heroes. Many pucks and fists to the mouth later and I'm still wanting more.

My one dying wish is to kiss the cup under the Arch, along with Jennifer Connelly.

So This Is Our New House?

The time had come for me to finally take in my first Blues game at the Scott Trade Center. Why it took so long I don't know, probably the fact that when I'm in STL I'm out chasing critters or visiting friends and relatives. My time seems so short when on vacation or a business trip. I rang up my old high school buddy and hockey goalie John M. and we picked the game that fit our schedules, Thursday Oct 8th against the Thrashers. Chopper was getting a statue out front so that was something to look forward to. The fateful Escalator Crash game as it would turn out. I would have preferred the Blackhawks or Detroit but beggars can't be choosy. John's son Joe would be along for the night also.

Holy shit, here we go again. Puck CLEARLY in but no goal. The really sad part of this continuing debacle is the Leafs were coming back. The game ended up 3-2 and this goal would have tied it.

Video review in a wonderful thing but you also have to include someone doing the review that possesses a fucking working brain and who can read a fucking eye chart.

Conclusive can also mean if the goalie's glove is in the god dayum net with the puck in it it's a fucking goal, even if you can't conclusively see the dayum puck.
