... What do you think Larry Johnson is going to do to us?

IF given the ball, I think this "cat" is going to be a REALLY BIG PROBLEM (typical) for the Chiefs high school defense!!

Lucky for us they have plenty of options to spread the ball around so L.J. hopefully can't prove to the nation that we shouldn't have hired a golfer as our head coach!

It's painful to be a Chiefs fan and I'll NEVER give up on my boys, but F#@%!!! I can now see how kids in school that picked on over and over again come back and just go freakin nuts and blast everyone and everything!!! (NOT saying it's right, so don't take offense, just frustrated as all hell!!)

If anyone thinks we have any chance besides a miracle, please let me know how!

Does anyone else think it's pathetic that the best thing that came out of the 2009 NFL Draft for the Chiefs was the very last pick of it-the one thats a public joke and even calledMr. Irrelevant- our freakin kicker!!!

As of Tuesday February 24, 2009 the Kansas City Chiefs have made three roster moves all which are releases:

Released:

Donnie Edwards #59

Patrick Surtain #23

Damon Huard #11

I just wanted to let anyone know who hasn't heard it yet. It was on Sirius radio about 10 min ago.. These were pretty obvious to eveyone b/c of salary cap issues, but I just hope Donnie retires as a Chief!

Any comments on any other big names cut this week from their teams?

Just heard on Series Radio Channel #123 "Maddog" that Pioli and has scedualed an interview with Arizona Cardinals OC for sometime this week? Anyone have any more information or truth on this?

I hope there's more truth to this than when ESPN said "Chiefs are close to deal with Shanahan." I'd really like to see Haley become leader of the Wolfpac. I believe he proved how smart he is yesterday during the Super Bowl, even with the loss.

ATTN: SCOTT PIOLI

It seems to be the thing to do, to tell you how to do your job lately so I'm going to try to be cool too, and jump on the band wagon. By executing all of these off season transactions, the CHIEFS have a chance to be a contender for the SUPER BOWL in 2009. Yes I said it, the super bowl. And with a MINIMUM of 35 million in cap room for next year (and the raising of season tickets that came out today, so Clark won't be too upset) this is very possible to legitimately get done.

HEAD COACH

1. Todd Haley- 1st choice. Offensive genius that has a new flavor of style that the league is transforming to, and is also young (like Pioli and Hunt) which means he could be start of a new dynasty with new GM & Owner. Other reason why he is top candidate is more understood with further reading of my list.

2. Jason Garrett- Will likely be a head coach somewhere soon (possibly even in Dallas in 2010). Would be a good fit and a spark to our offense.

CORDINATORS (on the belief that Todd Haley is our new HC)

1. Offensive- either a QB coach or other assistant from Arizona, that knows Haley's offense, or even incumbent Chan Gailey since his offense is more "new-school" or college like, and compares to Haley's (except he didn't have the weapons like the Cardinals).

2. Defensive- Kansas City needs to go back to an attack, blitz, hit you in the mouth defense. We need to go away from the "bend but don't break" Herm style. Our defense needs to be feared like it was in Marty ball. Nothing got Arrowhead as loud as when we were known for our Brick House hits. My candidates to coach this would be Dave McGinnis (Tennessee linebackers coach), Jim Johnson (Philly's D-Cord), and Clancy Pendergast (Arizona D-Cord) who actually is rumored to have one of the hardest defenses to prepare for b/c of how many looks and blitzes he shows every game.

NFL DRAFT

1. MICHAEL CRABTREE!!! I'm sure people will think I'm crazy to take a WR with the 3rd overall pick, with so many more important positions needing filled, but hear me out. Crabtree is the hands down the best player in the draft and a threat to score on every snap. Even though KC isn't hurting at WR's on the roster, they are hurting with talent there. As much as I love Dwayne Bowe, he is a number 2 WR, that needs to work on his hands since he is a possession receiver. Mark Bradley, I truly believe will be a great #3 receiver and the Bears will regret cutting him after seeing what he will do in 2009. Darling hasn't shown me anything, and neither has Will Franklin (injured most of 2008). Jeff Webb should be moved and only concentrate on Kickoff returns to make the team. I don't understand why he didn't have more of a chance when his first return ever went 50 yards and last year's KOR was pathetic. But back to Crabtree. He is a playmaker and a ball hog, and doesn't seem to have a big mouth like others WR's in the NFL. With Haley as the head coach, Crabtree will be the next Fitzgerald. KC will then be an offensive threat with Crabtree, Bowe, Bradley, & don't forget the best receiving TE in history Tony G (who has 5 good years in him left no question).

2. 2nd Round - Draft the best offensive lineman there is. Hopefully a LT so Prince Albert can move back to a more comfortable G position with Brian Waters. Mark Sanchez will possibly still be on the board and a possibility as well.

3. Rest of Draft- more OL and Defense. We need 2 LBs min, which will have to come from FA or the Draft. Also in 2009, play Jarred Page more as WLB, with DJ at MLB. Page is gaining weight (good weight at that) and already likes to put his nose in the mix like a LB and could be very good with his speed. If Page can play OLB, 2010 first round pick NEEDS to be USC Safety Taylor Mays #2. Mays will be the best Safety in the NFL in 3 years. By adding him to the secondary with Pollard, Carr, and Flowers will make our defensive the toughest in the league- and young as well, so they can stay together and truly start a new dynasty!

FREE AGENTS SIGNINGS OR TRADES THAT NEED TO HAPPEN

Albert Haynesworth -obviously going to be one of the most expensive, but worth it. By adding Haynesworth to play the 1 tech will significantly change the entire defense. Not only will he himself just improve it, but it will give a chance for non-existent Glenn Dorsey to become a playmaker himself. Dorsey would then not have to worry about holding up offensive linemen until he read the play (he's not big enough nor strong enough to do this, and it showed in 2008), but it will allow him to shoot the gaps and use his quickness to blow up plays like he did so often in college.

· Julies Peppers or Kenechi Udeze- Peppers is obviously more attractive to the naked eye b/c of his previous accomplishments. I'm not against signing him by all means and would really approve of it as well, but I would look really hard in analyzing Udeze. He was a former 1st round pick out of USC that has gone unheard of since b/c he had leukemia. Supposedly he is fully recovered and in better health than ever and would be much cheaper to trade for with the Vikings (since he is a backup to all pro Jared Allen). He also is only 25 and would have more years to play than Peppers. Either way, 2008 showed that Tamba Hali needs someone else to help take the attention off of him to shine. If both Haynesworth and either Peppers/Udeze are in KC next year, they will have THE BEST DEFENSIVE LINE in the league hands down. Hali, Haynesworth, Dorsey, Peppers/Udeze...;-)

Matt Leinart or Vince Young for QB- first things first, Tyler Thigpen is NOT the franchise QB of the future! I do however believe that if you don't get Leinart, Young, or Anderson/Quinn that you give him another year as the starter. Don't waste the #3 pick with a QB, b/c this years crop is not even close to how good next years will be. I enjoyed watching him play and do believe with time he will continue to develop but still not to the level that can bring this team to Super Bowl contenders. He is a solid back up, but not fast enough to be the threat of a Vince Young or Michael Vick. And his completion percentage was terrible when you look into it further. Most teams played the Chiefs this year pretty passively, with a lot of zone coverage and minimal blitzes. Granted he didn't have much help with the O-Line and no run game, but 54% isn't enough when people are playing soft defense. Leinart would be a great fit b/c he would know Haley's offense. I'm sure he's more developed now with learning from Warner and would be better than Matt Cassell. Don't forget, Matt Cassell never played in college b/c of Leinart and there's a reason because of it. Vince Young is a player that is my long shot. It sure would please the fans that want Thigpen b/c of his ability to scramble. Young is going to be a starter within 2 years if not next. Titans have to deal with that with him and Collins. But by getting Young (and having drafted Crabtree) I believe that Todd Haley could have some fun with play calling next year!

An Avg. Power Running Back - Trade Larry Johnson. With the above style of offense that I would create, Larry's style doesn't fit. More of a spread offense will let Jamaal Charles be the man. He does need to get tougher so he doesn't get hurt, but showed me signs this year that in the right offense he's a player. Chiefs will need a power running back at times too, but they shouldn't go sign a big contract type of guy. Possibly draft one. Although Larry is a power back (and hypothetically saying he wants to come back and likes what the Chiefs are doing with Pioli/new HC) he won't be happy when he doesn't get his 25 carries a game. And honestly he should be. He's not effective until he wears Defenses out. So trade him. Chiefs aren't going to end up on a plus on this deal but get what you can. Whoever they trade him to will be getting a steal, quote me on that. When LJ has new life with a new team, he will be one of the top 5 running backs in the league. I guarantee it. Also look to pick up a much needed Fullback for short yardage too.

Matt Birk/ Jason Brown - both are Free Agents and either will better our line instantly. Dr. Rudy isn't the answer and change is needed. If Leinart is a Chief, you do need to think about a Right Tackle to protect his blind side since he's a lefty.

LB's- One way or another in 2009 the Chiefs need another playmaker LB. Someone like Dansby (AZ), or one of the 3 from Baltimore. It will be surprising if the Ravens can sign all three. I'd test the waters of the draft here too. Possibly a slip from the 1st round could fall to us. One way or another, the Chiefs need LB's. I'd also like to see DJ play some middle to see if he could handle it and bring down Page like stated above. Only problem would be filling in the other safety until 2010 with Taylor Mays. Could McGraw do it? Idk.

This I know is a lot to accomplish over one offseason, but if anyone could do it I believe we have the man that can. If not, make me GM and I will! The free agents/draft position/ salary cap is there perfectly for this set up and I truly believe that next year we will be the 2008 Miami Dolphins.
