Guess The Attendance and Win a Brian Giles Auto'd Ball
So, Mrs. Sqrunt and I went to the game today and boy was it a blast!
We went to get her a Frequent Friar card because she just has to have one. I redeemed a voucher for some sweet swag that'll will eventually end up in the closet.
The Guest Relations girl behind the counter asks me if I'd like to guess the attendance tonight. I'm standing there trying to guess how many people are in attendance and my wife elbows me and says "YES!, He will'!
What just happened?
RIGHT FIELD, SECTION 129
So I meet up with Pad Squad Chris(?) at the bottom of the 6th, was so hoping to meet Pad Squad Kendra, and he takes me up to the media deck where we meet up with John Weisbarth. Nice guy Weisbarth. He was distracted trying to text his sister. I ask him to do a shout out to the GLB, did anyone else hear the GLB shout out?, and we get on to the business of guessing the attendance. Now, I didn't know what the prize was until they brought it out. When Weisbarth tells me I'm playing for one of Giles' balls, I get this feeling in my gut. The kind of feeling you get when you've had too many Friar Franks and the restroom in section 123 has a line out the door. Yeah, that bad. Being a good sport, I guess the attendance and win Brian Giles' ball. It doesn't even have an MLB hologram for authenticity. WTF?!
I have this Greg Maddux auto'd ball, MLB hologram included, I've been meaning to get a cube to put it in. Now, thanks to Brian Giles, I have one.

GLB Tweetup TONITE 25 April, 2009
So tweets have been flying around all day about the possibility of a tweet up at tonites game. I'll be there, as well as a few other GLB Friar Faithful.
Any suggestions on where to meet and when? I say we meet at Tony the Gwynn's statue at the 7th inning stretch.
Keep this rec'd so it stays atthe top please!
And now for the obligatory 75 word minimum. I wish this had a counter tool thingy ...blah blah blah

Unfortunately, I didn't see this at the merch tent during my recent trip to the US Open.

2008 Cheese-Rolling at Cooper's Hill Gloucester
Cheese rolling is an annual event. This year injuries were kept to a minimum thanks to torrential downpours during the previous day.

Turning Lemons into Lemonade
This weekend will be my first trip to Coors Field. It was originally planned as a business trip, but that got cancelled last minute. After working myself up for the trip, I was totally bummed. I had 3 pairs of tickets that I had to dump and fast.
