I notice John mentioned Ryal in his "all questions answered" marathon.  The question was something like "Which major leaguer will surprise us all, much like a Josh Hamilton or Casey McGeehee" ... something like that.  John's answer was Rusty Ryal.  A little later he was asked about his big sleeper for this year and the answer was the same.

I'm spending this winter in Arizona, have attended a few Cactus League games, but have missed seeing Arizona.  But today I see that Rusty Ryal was something of a surprise who made the Opening Day club. 

I have looked all over for more information and have found very little ... none on sites or books not written by John.  So here's the question.  Will somebody please tell me about Rusty Ryal and give me a hint as to why he would be so prominently mentioned by John?

I just saw the news that the Cardinals say they have no plans to call up Colby Rasmus when the rosters expand in September.  So who WILL get September callups across the league.  Which callups will have the biggest impacts?

Will Maybin come up, despite his back problems?  How about McCucheon?  Will Price get a look-see?  Does anybody have any insight on their favorite teams, and how the expanded rosters will affect them?

Josh Anderson seems to be making a big splash at Braves camp.   The AJC says he played basketball at Princeton, and I see he had a cup of coffee with Houston last year.  But John doesn't have him in THE book, Baseball Prospectus doesn't have a listing for him, although Shandler has a brief comment.

Can someone fill me in on what to expect from him?  Looks like he might blow right by Schaefer in line to caddy for Kotsay ... and could stick this year instead of Brandon Jones. What's the story on this guy?
