Mets Community Prospect List 2010: #8
Welcome to the 2nd Annual Amazin' Avenue Mets Community Prospect List. Every poll will include eight candidates for the next spot on the list, as well as a separate group of testers. Testers will be rotated into polls with each new installation, replacing each poll's winner and any name that's not getting votes. After a few rounds, if a candidate on the ballot receives a decidedly low vote total , they'll be replaced on the ballot by a tester. But for the first couple polls, I won't remove candidates with these low totals.
After the poll, Darrell Ceciliani is the choice for #7 prospect in the Mets' system with 23% of the votes.. Replacing him in the poll is Brad Holt, and Armando Rodriguez has been added to the testers. To recap:

Rubin: Meet the Mess, Part 2: Can the Mets make 2011 interesting?
I agree with a lot of what Rubin's saying here, but when you indulge in the "Meet the Mess" narrative and you cover the Mets?
Douche.

Mets Community Prospect List 2010: #5 (F-Less Edition)
Welcome to the 2nd Annual Amazin' Avenue Mets Community Prospect List. Every poll will include eight candidates for the next spot on the list, as well as a separate group of testers. Testers will be rotated into polls with each new installation, replacing each poll's winner and any name that's not getting votes. But for the first couple polls, I won't remove candidates with these low totals.
After the run-off, Matt Harvey is the choice for #5 prospect in the Mets' system. Replacing him in the poll is Zach Lutz. However, as it turns out, Fernando Martinez's eligibility is now officially up. As he is no longer a prospect, he will be removed from the list, and everyone is moved up a spot in the rankings (e.g. Harvey is now the #4 prospect in the system). Hooray. Also appearing on the list is Dillon Gee, who is taking the spot of Steven Matz. Matz wasn't really recieving any votes for a while now, and since several people were clamoring for Gee on the poll, I decided to take Matz off the ballot for at least the next couple rounds. Matt den Dekker has been added to the testers. To recap:

Mets Community Prospect List 2010: #5 RUN-OFF!!!
With Jeurys Familia, Matt Harvey, and Lucas Duda only separated by two votes after two days of polling, I'm instituting a run-off between the three candidates for the #5 spot. The player receiving the most in the approximate 24 hour period will be put on the prospect list in the #5 spot, and the other two players will be put back onto the regular ballot for voting for the #6 spot. Without further ado, vote away!

With 73% of the vote, Reese Havens is the consensus choice for #4 prospect in the Mets' system. Sean Ratliff, Josh Satin, and Jordany Valdespin have been added to the testers. To recap:

With 40% of the vote, Fernando Martinez is the consensus choice for #2 prospect in the Mets' system. Of course, he's bordering on exhausting his rookie eligibility, so if/when his prospect status expires, I'll take him off the list. Replacing him in the poll is Steven Matz, who still has yet to throw a pitch professionally a year after he was drafted. Hopefully, he'll return from Tommy John surgery with a robotic arm. To recap:
