Do any of you guys think the Brewers would consider trading J. J. Hardy, knowing that Escobar is right around the corner, or is the plan for him to move to second? With a still young talented shortstop I think the Brewers could get some good value for him. A thirdbasemen and a closer? And another thing what is up with Tony Gywnn Jr. is he somewhat good or did people just hype him up, because of the name? His defense is good, but is his hitting just not big league caliber?

The D'backs have been in first place since April 5th and the Dodgers have had chances to take first place away from a bunch of times, yet they can never win that win game that would do that, so before you get all excited that you killed two of the best pitchers in the game, I would like to say that the D'backs have been in first for almost five months, so why wouldn't they continue this run for one more month?.

i don't know about you, but mavsmoneyball seems to have less people commenting on things, so maybe this will get people to comment. My idea for the Mavericks would be to trade for O'Neal, Daniels and the Pacers first round pick using Dampier and Terry. I would then use Howard and that first round pick to get Billups, maybe add Kidd and something else from Detroit. Stucky gets to learn from Kidd and the Pistons get money to resign Rip after next season. Dallas gets a better PG and gets rid of Howard.

Do I really need to spell it out that he is hitting really poorly. Adam Dunn and Ryan Howard don't look that bad when they are at the plate. I don't mind if a guy strikes out a lot as long they are hitting bombs, but what Reynolds is doing is ridiculous. I don't know what is worse, his hitting or his fielding. He reminds me of the religious black guy from the move Major League. He can only hit pitches that don't move much.

The season is not over until there are no more games on the schedule and last time I checked, we had games left. We are the Dallas Mavericks never give up never surrender. Rowdy, proud, and loud. Momentum from the first two games disappears once tip off begins in game 3. Never loose faith, if we do, then so will the players and they need us right now. As long as we have games left, there is a chance.

Has anyone noticed or realized that we have beaten 3 500+ teams in the last 2 weeks? When we beat the Jazz I totally forget that we had beaten another 500+ plus team. And on Wednesday, assuming the playoff seed are still not set, will we try to win or lose so we can get the team that we want(Hornets) instead of the teams that we don't want(Lakers, Spurs).

With this loss I can make a smooth transition to the MLB, but since the season does not really start until May, I have to watch college basketball to fill my sports needs and I have no faith that it will. The Rams failed me and it looks like the Mav's will too. I know what team I can count on,the D'Backs. You know the Mav's are becoming the St. Louis Cardinals. I won't be back until draft time, that does not sound normal, unless of course we make the playoffs or someone comments on this.

Are the Mavericks really going to miss the playoffs? I do remember a certain center for the Rockets that went down with an injury and I don't exactly remember what happen to the Rockets after that, but maybe you guys can tell me. With Dirk out maybe the Mavericks will do what Charles Barkley has been saying all along, which is out score everyone. I have seen little improvement on offense. I have seen Kidd get the rebound or get passed the rebound and run to the three point line and wait for the team to get backed, so the Mav's are playing a half court offense, which is what they were doing with Harris. Kidd is a player that you want in a run and gun system, like Phoenix, not a half court system, because he can't, or won't, shoot. The question of who will replace Dirk's production is stupid when any important starter goes out, because if someone could replace a starter's production they would already be an important starter. Everyone will have to produce more to make up for Dirk's production, but Dirk's role as the closer in the 4th quarter is the thing we are not going to have. Terry and Stackhouse can be great in the 4th quarter, but do they have the uniqueness of Dirk's post up moves? No, they don't, therefore the defense won't collapse on Dirk leaving other players for open shots. My lineup for the game would be Kidd, Terry, Howard, Stackhouse, and Bass. I hope they would be able to outscore teams like Golden State, Denver, and Phoenix. If Dallas can't be these teams now they are not going to beat them with this team, when Kidd is older. If we traded all these players and draft picks for Kidd, why didn't we do that for Kobe Bryant at the beginning of the year. Terry, Kobe, Howard, Dirk, Dampier, sounds like a good starting lineup to me. Isn't it weird that in one week out mindsets can be completely different and one more thing, even though I don't like Mark Jackson, I think he comes off as a guy who thinks he knows everything, but he said something that I thought was "funny" at the time, but completely relevant now, which is "The Mav's are closer to the lottery, then they are the one seed in the West."

Can the Mav's win in the playoffs?

If the Mavericks can't beat these teams at home. How are they supposed to win on the road? Are the Mav's more talented with Kidd, yes, but are they better? I don't they think so. With Kidd they do beat up on the bad teams, but those teams won't be in the playoffs. With Harris they might lose against a team like the Pacers, but they would beat a team like the Spurs. I think last night's game proved why Kidd hasn't been shooting much. He almost air balled(two words or one?) two three's. When Dallas traded for him, ESPN should lots of highlights of Kidd driving to the lane and scoring. I have not seen this. Am I worried about the Mavericks this in year in the playoffs? Not really, but I don't have expectations for them anymore. The only person who should be worried is Avery Johnson. If the Mav's don't win the title, I think Mark Cuban would fire him. Not for just this year, but for everything that he has done since he got here. Trying to turn Dirk into Duncan, starting George in game 1 of the first round last year, leaving Kidd on the bench against the Spurs, and not having a consistent lineup. If I was Avery I would start the game off with Kidd, Howard, George, Dirk, and Dampier. In the 4th I would have Kidd, Terry, Stackhouse, Dirk, and Dampier.
