Shea Stadium Seating and Tour Question

Hey everyone,

I am visiting NY this summer, and plan on adding Shea to my stadium list before it's torn down. I am planning on going to a game on July 8th 9th, or 10th. Any answers and tips to my questions would be greatly appreciated!

What are the best tickets to get? I don't want to spend much more than $25-30, but would like decent seats. Is there a certain section to avoid, or try to sit in?

Do they offer tours of Shea Stadium? I go on a tour of most parks I visit, and I don't want to miss out on Shea, but couldn't find anything on the Mets website.

Finally, is there anything in or around Shea that I shouldn't miss visiting while at the game?

Thank you!

Hey everyone,

I have never been to Yankee Stadium and am planning on going this summer to add it to my list of stadiums before it's torn down

I wanted to go on the tour on July 8th, but they are sold out. Does anyone know any tricks or tips that I can try so I can get on the tour? I really don't want to miss out on a YS tour, so any help/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Also, since tickets for the 8th and 9th are sold out, I am scalping a ticket. I don't want to spend a lot of money, and the prices look like that means staying in the upper deck. My question is what's best, and what should I avoid?

Any advice or assistance with my questions would be fantastic!

Thank You!

I was wondering if anyone had the music to the bears fight song, either a piano part or a full score. I was hoping for my band to play it, and my job would be a lot easier if I had the music, and didn't have to transcribe it from the audio version.

Or, if anyone still has the December 1st Tribune tempo section, I know they did a segment on the fight song, and there was a graphic of part of the music.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

I am attending my first game at the trop next Monday. I like visiting other parks doing mini-reports on the venue I want to see as much of the stadium as possible, so I need your help choosing tickets and have a few questions:

If I buy a club seat, will I be able to walk in the lower section to get the different perspectives around the place?

Are the club seats worth it?

Can I go "visit" the beach for a few minutes for my reports or is it closed for private parties?

Any must visit spots or tips or anything that will help my report?

Thanks!!

-Stadium Guru-

Phillies Fans,
I am planning a trip to Philly, D.C. and Baltimore to see a few games. I am planning on going to the Monday June 19 game against the yankees. I was a little late in getting tickets, and the game is sold out.
I was wondering what you guys suggest in terms of getting tickets. Do they release day of game tix or anything like that? I hate to have to use a broker.

Thanks

What are the numbers supposed to be this year that shows "the year of the cubs?"
My calculations show it should be 026097, though it was 016097 last year.
Does anyone know what it is? If it where 026198, that would mean that there have been 2 years since the playoffs, 61 yrs since the world series, and 98 years since the title. The 2 seems correct, but the 61 and 98 seem a year high, because that tells us that the 2006 season is over, not just begining.
Does anyone have some insight?
