Kansas City Chiefs post-Draft depth chart

I went to AP today expecting to find someone who has already done this post. I couldn't find one, so I took a stab at it myself. Feels like a much better roster than last year. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the holdover bottom of the roster guys don't make the final cut out of training camp.

With the #11 pick in the 2012 NFL draft the KC Chiefs....

trade back and acquire a 2013 1st rounder. Here's the deal, our biggest need is QB. It's the only position holding us back. Missing out on Peyton means we have to address via the draft. The problem is the team is too good to have a prime draft slot to get our new QB, so we have to have multiple 1st to trade to get our guy next year. I was looking at Walter Football to see who are in the early projections.

Matt Barkley, USC - I'd love him, but he is likely to go #1 and it could be hard to get there, even with 2 #1s.

Tyler Bray, Tenn - don't know anything about him. Anyone seen him play?

Landry Jones, OU - he would have to be much improved this season for me to get excited about him

Tyler Wilson, Ark - I saw him put it on my Cats at the Cotton Bowl live. Personally, I am high on him and expect him to go higher than the Walter Football projections.

I just read John Clayton's article on espn about players likely to be cut due to their team's cap situation. The name that jumped out to me was GB MLB Nick Barnett. If he is released he would at best be an upgrade over Belcher and a run stuffer, at worst he would be good training camp competition.

I haven't heard anyone mention Barnett, probably because he is not a FA this year. I would be just as excited about adding him as I would any of the RT or WR names I have been reading about on AP.
