Carmelo Rap
Ok, so I was on a rap/Hip-Hop website looking up the latest songs, because I love that music, and I came across rapper Maino, doing a song about Melo to New York titled "Yeah Carmelo"
Back Court of the Future
Our beloved Denver Nuggets are in a period of major uncertainty right now with Carmelo Anthony's "The Indecision", MeloDrama or whatever else you want to label his alleged desire to skip town.Trade rumor's flying around from multiple media outlets about this possible Nets/Nuggets/Pistons deal that could involve our Hometown Hero, Chauncey Billups. I have said many times here that I am absolutley againstany deal that involves Chauncey, however there is one thing we can be certain of if the alleged deal goes down. And that is we will have one of the best back court combination in the league.

Nuggets pick up option for Lawson
Looks like Lawson is sticking around, good move Front Office!
Heat Decide Not to Pursue Dampier
Miami has decided not to offer a contact to C Eric Dampier, leaving only a few teams on his list. Denver could seriously make a move to get him now..
Deal is Ready, Waiting On Melo
In this David Aldridge says that the deal is ready to go, everyone is waiting on Denver to pull the trigger and Melo to agee to the extension. Also DA says that in recent days we tried getting Rip Hamilton to show Melo that we were still trying to improve thhe team.
Ty Lawson provides some funny shit at a time when we need it!
Denver Stiffs Fantasy Basketball? (Updated)
Hey fellow Stiffs! Lately everything on this blog has been about the whole Melo situation and how crappy our offseason has been. I thought we should have some fun around here! Who would be interested in getting an ESPN fantasy league started up with just us Stiffs. It could provide a good distraction from everything else. I have never really done the whole fantasy thing before however i have started this season with a few mates. So let me know if you are interested in setting up a Stiffs league. Cheers Everyone!
Update with Details.
OK thanks guys for showing support for this. I have created the league, it is a custom, private league. If you are interested in getting involved go to this link.
http://games.espn.go.com/fba/leaguedirectory
Simply search the word "Stiffs" and the league should appear in the results. If you don't have a account with ESPN you have to make one. (Its Free) there are 10 spots available (9 after myself.) so be sure to get in quickly! The draft is set for Wednesday 22nd September, so only a day or so to join!
Once again thanks for showing support in this, it should be great fun!
P.S the password to join the League is "Tacos"

Birdman May Be Ready For Start of Season
A positive article that gives Nugs fans hope that Birdman may be able to take the court by October 27. I like what i read in this article, sounds to me Birdman is really back. Fly Birdman! Fly!
Earl Barron Still Available
Knicks reportedly not going to sign Barron, meaning he is still available to the Nugs. His agent says he would fit well on a "veteren team" I know a few guys here really like Barron (Including myself) so this could be good news...

Looming end to this Nuggets Era
An extremely gloomy look at the Nuggets situation..
J.R Smith appreciates Coach Karl.
Chris Tomasson has written a fantasitic story about how J.R has missed Karl and can't wait to have him coaching again. It also goes over there relashionship since J.R has been at the club.
Harrington: "I'm ready to play Defence"
Al Harrington at the NBA SummerLeague. Great interveiw and i'm even more exited after watching this. Not sure if this has been posted already.

Official Free Agent Thread 4.0
Nuggets Offseason so far... Rex Chapman didn't do anything draft night, so we ended up not trading or drafting anyone. Nuggets Front office continues to sit on their hands while teams around us sign players and take all the bigs. Just got news that K-mart and Bird may miss the start of the season, Brian Butch just went down with a career threatening injury, Get better soon Polar Bear!, We nearly signed Jermaine O'neal but he chose Boston over us. Linas Kleiza signed a 4 year 20 million deal with Toronto, Nugs have 5 days still to match. Linas dosn't want the Nuggets to match the offer. And currently Nuggets are targeting Lou Amundson as well as other bigs, what a ripper of an offseason (Sarcasm).
And let the talking begin!

Brian Butch Injury
Sad to see this.
Al Jefferson Requets Trade, Nuggets Showing Serious Interest
Al Jefferson of the Minnesota Timberwolves has requested a trade to another team. Two teams that have shown serious interest include the Chicago Bulls and our beloved Denver Nuggets.
If we could manage to get Al Jefferson in a Nuggets uniform, it would be amazing! He is a BEAST on the boards, and is also another threat on the offensive end. (I know, we don't really need another offensive threat, but its a bonus.) It would give the Nuggets a whole different look. Wark do something, don't let this oppurtunity slip!
Nuggets tried to get into draft.
Rex Chapman says that the nugs were "very actice" in trying to get a hold of a big man somewhere in the second round, but no team was interested.
Kiszla: Nene's softness, big contract must go
Mark Kiszla of the Denver Post has written an article about Nene and the fact that Denver just can't wait for him to develop another year because the Championship window is slowing closing on this particular group of Nuggets players. Kiszla points out the fact that Nene is getting a reputation for coming up soft in big games when he is needed. He says that the Nuggets should use Nene as trade bait this offseason.
I know this should probably be a fanshot, but you just can't see them all the way down the page!
Here is a link to Kiszla's story: http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci_15018618?source=rss&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+dp-sports-nuggets+%28Denver+Post%3A+Sports%3A+Nuggets%29

Nuggets Vs Jazz Preview
Just a bit of a preview by the guys at NBA tv, i didn't agree with everything they said but hey, since when have we ever agreed with the media.
Martin Hopes To Return Next Game
Kenyon Martin has said he is eyeing a return to the Nuggets line-up Saturday when the boys in powder blue take on the visiting San Antonio Spurs at the Pepsi Center. Kenyon said before Denver took on the Lakers that he currently has no pain in his knee, and if he dosn't manage to play vs Spurs, he wants to at least play one last regular season game so he can get back into the flow of a game heading into playoffs. Kenyon had a 1-on-1 game against one of the assistant coaches and he said it was all good.
This is great news for Nuggets fans everywhere! Hope he does get a run in a game before playoffs begin. And if Kenyon is able to play, does this mean Taco is banished back to the bench? Only time will tell....

Keep getting better George!
Adrian Dantley Has Kidney Stone
Our acting head coach, Adrian Dantley missed Tuesdays practice due to a Kidney Stone. John Welch and other assistants pitched in and ran the 90 minute practice session. Dantley may still make the trip to Oklahoma, health permitting of course. Another one of our coaches goes down with a health issue.. this one isnt as serious though, but still get better soon Dantley. The question is, who will coach if Dantley is unable to make the trip to OKC?
In other news some of the players, coaches and staff visited Karl for the first time since March 16 at his home."It was just good to sit and talk with him a little bit about the team and about everything that is going on. It was uplifting," said Billups, saying that Karl told him that he was having one of his good days."He's doing better and hopefully he can just continue to heal," Billups said.
And on a final note Kenyon Martin did not practice on Tuesday, he had the flu which kept him out of his return to practice.

Keep getting better George!
Nuggets are searching for a big man.
according to yahoo sports the Denver Nuggets are indeed looking for a reserve big man
i tried this trade idea in the trade machine..
Marc gasol for Renaldo Balkman and Malik Allen...It worked out +8 wins for the nuggets but -11 wins for the grizzlies.. i would love for this trade to go through but there was no way grizzlies would accept it.
its nice to know the front office is at least having a look at getting a reserve big man.
