Stampede Blue What sucks is

I used to love to hate you guys. It was a hatred that I cherished and valued greatly. And now all I have left is pity, no it's worse than that, it's has been reduced to disgust. [ Fredo, you broke my heart.].

"When one of the NFL's superstars goes down, it can devastate your football team."- Troy Vincent"Everybody will give the New England Patriots their best shot. You're looking at [an opponent's] best performance. It's everyone's Super Bowl when they face the New England Patriots."

Pats Pulpit Play Offs!!!

What will it take for this team to make the playoffs this year?      Maybe the genius that we hope BB is. Or the possibility of another good or great QB rising up thru the ranks.    A very good defense is certainly a possibility with BB. Or maybe Randy Moss will make a big enough impact to be the difference. It could be one of those years that a different player will step up every game.

Pats Pulpit Garr..ble...... arrhhh

Excuse me, I was trying to get my foot out of my mouth. On my last post I said that I felt sorry for the Phins,  I also said that an upset would mostly come from a divisional foe, and it did. This sucks, we have been spoiled for so long. How the hell could a Belichick defense play so bad, when they looked so solid against the Jets? Is Chad Pennington under rated? Is BB past his prime?......................"The answer my friend is blowing in the wind" .........Bob Dylan

Pats Pulpit Division games can be tough

Division games have different dynamics than others. Having to play each other twice a year they get to know each other pretty well. The teams often sign free agents and draft players that will help them to beat the teams in thier division, which is the road to the playoffs. I think if the Pats are going to be upset (not talking about elite teams) in a game this year, it will most likely be a divisional opponent. However......., I actually feel feel bad for Miami this week, the advantage of talent, motivation, structure, and coaching that the Pats enjoy over the Phins is like the lions had over the Christians in the Roman arena.

Pats Pulpit Pacman Jones a Patriot?

The Patriots have a good track record at taking in star players with a troubled past. Rodney Harrison inspite of his HGH use has not caused any trouble within the team, in fact he has been a leader and a great player. We got the last good years out of Corey Dillon with minimal problems. Randy Moss has been a gift from the football gods. That being said, I believe Pacman Jones is in a different class. HE IS A HARDCORE PUNK! Check this out, http://bumpshack.com/2007/03/02/pacman-jones-criminal-record/  He hasn't played in over a year and would be expensive. While I know that we need help at the corner position, I don't think it is worth selling our souls over this scum bag.

Pats Pulpit Dom Capers

Seems to be a good addition to the coaching staff. As opposed to losing experienced coach's to other teams every year because of the pats success, we are adding a coach with 22 years of nfl coaching experience. It appears that he is given a position very much like the one that Belichick was given by Parcels back in '96 with the pats. It is hard to see a downside.

Pats Pulpit Tough one to stomach

I was walking around today [monday] in a fog like feeling like someone died. Ok, the vodka shots I drank after the game to kill the pain may have had something to do w/ it. But to say I was depressed would be an understatement. Hell, last year when they lost to the colts I felt like I was gut punched. This year it was more like a kick to the groin.

Pats Pulpit The Quest for the Holy Grail

It failed like it does 99.9% of the time. But I will never forget this season in my life time. The Patriots are the most noble team in football in spite of what our jealous rivals say. They gave us one hell of a season. I give the Giants all the credit in the world, they earned that win. I'll always appreciate championship caliber play. But I'll still always believe that we had the best team this year. And I wouldn't trade this team for any other. Maybe we haven't quite established the camelot of the football world, and our quest still continues. But I believe we have come closer than anyone else and have a better chance at it than any other team.

Pats Pulpit The Quest for the Holy Grail

We are nearing the end of the road that is rarely traveled. The Patriots are on a quest for the holy grail off the NFL, the perfect season. When I think about the magnitude of the stakes that are involved in the outcome of the superbowl, I realized that it is in all likely hood  a once in a lifetime experience.  The Patriots could be the camelot in the world of football. They only need to pull the sword out of the rock and be crowned the true King of the NFL.

Pats Pulpit The SB may be Bruschi's last game

Check out this link from the Herald.                                                         http://bostonherald.com/sports/football/patriots/view.bg?articleid=1068207                                                                                             Pay special attention to this Quote, Said Bruschi about his upcoming journey to Arizona: "I'm overjoyed. I'm elated. I'm excited. It's going to be a great finish for me to go out there and hopefully we can win this game and finish the year off."

Pats Pulpit Let's give the Chargers credit

They had to go though the colts, {no easy task} to get to the championship game. And they gave us all we could handle. Out of their 4 FG if just one of them was a TD it may have been a different game. Their defense took away our greatest strength, the deep pass, and they put up a decent fight against our dink and dunk plays. Thank God Mulroney really stepped up, along w/ faulk. Welker made some decent contributions as well. The chargers made the Pats earn this one. The chargers looked alot like last years team when they may of had the best defense in the league, and their offense moved the ball well despite not having LT. While I think that the Patriots are clearly the better team, there is little doubt that SD is a formidable oppent.

Pats Pulpit Rodney Harrison

Isn't it great to have him healthy during the playoffs again. The last time I seen him was the Pats-Eagles SB. I believe the game was clinched on his last interception. This was an interview from the herald. Tedy Bruschi [stats] was asked what it meant to have Harrison in the lineup this postseason after being without the safety for the last two because of injuries.

"Well, to me, Rodney is our tone setter," Bruschi said. "He really sets the tone for us. He's probably the most physical and violent teammate I've ever (had), and his aggression he uses to his advantage.

"He can do so much. He can be a linebacker, he can be a safety, a defensive back and cover one of the best tight ends in the league. I think he can do everything that this coaching staff has ever asked and that's a big plus for us to have him." [end quote]               He's a great player that still has some gas left in the tank.

Stampede Blue The top 5 reasons why I hope the Colts remain competitive

 1. Manning is a great quarterback. 2. The colts are a worthy opponent year after year. 3. You guys hate us. {I love it] 4. You make us a better team by providing top notch competition . 5. I have just grown to love to hate you guys. Football is the best game out there in my opinion. And none of our teams are an island, [we need each other,] We live in a country that provides the greatest sports talent and entertainment in the world. And I think this is one of the many roses that we smell along the way. You guys are still great and I look forward already to next year when we  have our next game.

Pats Pulpit The anti patriot sentiment

Comes purely from jealousy. We have a team that is a dynasty in the free agent era. There may not be another dynasty for a long, long time, never mind an undefeated season. What fan base of any nfl team wouldn't kill to have a team like the pats. They call us cheaters, classless, and arrogant. Every football team from pop warner to the nfl tries to gain inside information on their opponent, it is the nature of the game. Every football team has fans that are good and bad, classy and belligerent and every team that has had several years of success breeds confidence in their fans that is called arrogance by their jealous counterparts.

Stampede Blue Re. T.O.

Could somebody please tell T.O. to not cry anymore, it's embarrassing. Marvin Harrison doesn't cry, Moss does not cry, neither does brady or manning, oh wait, i forgot, manning cries to. Does anyone here besides me think that T.O. is mentally unstable? I work as a mental health worker in a state mental institution,[yes, there are a lot of patience's who are colts fans] but T.O would definitely fit right in there.
