What will it take for this team to make the playoffs this year? Maybe the genius that we hope BB is. Or the possibility of another good or great QB rising up thru the ranks. A very good defense is certainly a possibility with BB. Or maybe Randy Moss will make a big enough impact to be the difference. It could be one of those years that a different player will step up every game.

Excuse me, I was trying to get my foot out of my mouth. On my last post I said that I felt sorry for the Phins, I also said that an upset would mostly come from a divisional foe, and it did. This sucks, we have been spoiled for so long. How the hell could a Belichick defense play so bad, when they looked so solid against the Jets? Is Chad Pennington under rated? Is BB past his prime?......................"The answer my friend is blowing in the wind" .........Bob Dylan

Division games have different dynamics than others. Having to play each other twice a year they get to know each other pretty well. The teams often sign free agents and draft players that will help them to beat the teams in thier division, which is the road to the playoffs. I think if the Pats are going to be upset (not talking about elite teams) in a game this year, it will most likely be a divisional opponent. However......., I actually feel feel bad for Miami this week, the advantage of talent, motivation, structure, and coaching that the Pats enjoy over the Phins is like the lions had over the Christians in the Roman arena.

Pacman Jones a Patriot?

The Patriots have a good track record at taking in star players with a troubled past. Rodney Harrison inspite of his HGH use has not caused any trouble within the team, in fact he has been a leader and a great player. We got the last good years out of Corey Dillon with minimal problems. Randy Moss has been a gift from the football gods. That being said, I believe Pacman Jones is in a different class. HE IS A HARDCORE PUNK! Check this out, http://bumpshack.com/2007/03/02/pacman-jones-criminal-record/ He hasn't played in over a year and would be expensive. While I know that we need help at the corner position, I don't think it is worth selling our souls over this scum bag.

Seems to be a good addition to the coaching staff. As opposed to losing experienced coach's to other teams every year because of the pats success, we are adding a coach with 22 years of nfl coaching experience. It appears that he is given a position very much like the one that Belichick was given by Parcels back in '96 with the pats. It is hard to see a downside.

I was walking around today [monday] in a fog like feeling like someone died. Ok, the vodka shots I drank after the game to kill the pain may have had something to do w/ it. But to say I was depressed would be an understatement. Hell, last year when they lost to the colts I felt like I was gut punched. This year it was more like a kick to the groin.

It failed like it does 99.9% of the time. But I will never forget this season in my life time. The Patriots are the most noble team in football in spite of what our jealous rivals say. They gave us one hell of a season. I give the Giants all the credit in the world, they earned that win. I'll always appreciate championship caliber play. But I'll still always believe that we had the best team this year. And I wouldn't trade this team for any other. Maybe we haven't quite established the camelot of the football world, and our quest still continues. But I believe we have come closer than anyone else and have a better chance at it than any other team.

We are nearing the end of the road that is rarely traveled. The Patriots are on a quest for the holy grail off the NFL, the perfect season. When I think about the magnitude of the stakes that are involved in the outcome of the superbowl, I realized that it is in all likely hood a once in a lifetime experience. The Patriots could be the camelot in the world of football. They only need to pull the sword out of the rock and be crowned the true King of the NFL.

They had to go though the colts, {no easy task} to get to the championship game. And they gave us all we could handle. Out of their 4 FG if just one of them was a TD it may have been a different game. Their defense took away our greatest strength, the deep pass, and they put up a decent fight against our dink and dunk plays. Thank God Mulroney really stepped up, along w/ faulk. Welker made some decent contributions as well. The chargers made the Pats earn this one. The chargers looked alot like last years team when they may of had the best defense in the league, and their offense moved the ball well despite not having LT. While I think that the Patriots are clearly the better team, there is little doubt that SD is a formidable oppent.
