Green Lake native, and former UW-Whitewater pitcher, Aaron Dott makes his professional debut tonight in the summer Class A NY-Penn league. Dott is a member of the Hudson Valley Renegades (Tampa Bay Rays) and will face the Brooklyn Cyclones (New York Mets). Dott was a 31st round pick in the June player draft. I have followed him since he was an 11th grader at Green Lake High School and knew this day would evenutally come for him.

Good Luck Aaron!

In his weekly JS online column he mentions Carlos Corporan joining an exclusive club, the one and done club. He mentions three players who have only appeared in one game for the Brewers. There is another one. In July 2005 catcher Julio Mosquera appeared in one game, against the Yankees.

I think what Tom meant to write was (players who entire major league career consisted of playing only one game for the Brewers). But, in my comprehension of the article, one is led to believe he is referring to players having only played one game for Milwaukee.

Mosquera played for Toronto in 1996 and 1997.

I must admit that a portion of my posting is driven by a vendetta against Haudricourt's source, Mario Ziino.

**Kudos to the TheJay for finding another player who has appeared in only one major league game, and it was for Milwaukee. How can we forget Chris Mabeus?**

Check out this Brewer box score from the 1979 season. I remember this game for many reasons, one of which is that my brother-in-law was a charter bus driver at the time. He had left the stadium to head to the parking lot in the 8th inning to tend to the bus and was confused when no fans were leaving the game. Interesting to see that Bill Castro was part of the collapse.
